I have a Lowpro RDA that crapped out on me: it started connecting the bell to the plus side of the battery, and since the bell was very close to the mod's body (a Stingray tube mod), it started arcing across the mod's body and the bell.
Now there are black spots around the edge of the mod's tube, and the RDA's bell. Exactly like marks you would make with an electric pen. Both the tube and the bell are SS. I managed to remove most of them with metal polishing compound, phosphoric acid, and vigorous rubbing against a rough piece of cloth. But it's not all gone.
Any idea how to remove the remainder of the black spots?
