I have finally decided I want to get a Hex Ohm. I am mainly a MTL vaper, but I love the fit and finish of the mod. I am just unsure how to set it at the right voltage/watts in order to vape from it properly. I tried looking up online, but I just couldn't find what I was looking for. Any help would be appreciated!
I would love to say the hexohm would be good for you. But I cannot recommend it to a mtl tank user. It functions are close to the LE80 except the dial in feature is a but more guess work and in a tank it could just nuke the coils. Ideally something with a step down feature like the vast majority of the market has in a regulated mod would better without the guess work.
The hexohm ranges from 3.3 to 6 volts. But since it uses a potentiometer to set voltage it is all guess work on how much voltage your actually pumping into your coil. It could be used though, you would just have to turn it down and then turn it up in very small increments until you get your desired vape.
tons of guess work. So the LE 80, and hex both are dial power. The LE has a voltage read out but you set it for 3.75 it will pump 3.75 the only difference is 3.75 at .75 ohm is a ton lower than pumping it at .22 ohm. It is just flat power to the coils. It is the same minus the read out on the hex ohm.
I know it isnt ideal for a mtl vaper, but i would also use it for subohm. I read online that it goes from 3.5 to 6 volts, and i am confused on that. Here is why: my provari works on voltage, not wattage, and i vape on that at around 4.5 - 5 volts. So my first question is, how does the Hex Ohm use a similar range of voltage with such a difference in power? Is it because of the batteries? The chip? Is the Hex a mod that is best set once or is it ok to change according to the resistance of the atomizer? sent from my Galaxy Note 5
I know that this mod is regulated, but i heard from a couple of places to treat it like a mech mod. Is that true? I would hate to have it on too high of a setting if i were using a 1.8 atomizer and have there be a problem. Would the 50 watt Hex be a better choice? Thanks for everyone's patience, i would really like to have one and would love to mame this work for me, but not if its a huge hassle. sent from my Galaxy Note 5
its the magic of ohms law 0.3ohm at 3.5v is 40.83 watts and 11 amp 1.8ohms at 3.5v is 6.8watts and 1.9 amps factor in the 5amp limit ( I think) of the p2.5 and the 20a limit of the hexohm and you can see where the p2.5 tops out at 12w amd the hexohm at 110w that is the ohms law wheel, with a variable voltage mod it is your friend lol wattage is the square of voltage applied divided by resistance
I found a sweet deal on the Sicboy page and got a Hexohm plus their entire Sicboy line of juices in 30ml. I just couldn't pass it up. I have a very nice crown tank to pair with it sent from my Galaxy Note 5
I have these flat top batteries, are these the correct ones for my hex ohm? sent from my Galaxy Note 5
any 20a contiuous flat top battery will work I suggest, the LG HE4. Samsung 25R,sony VTC4 or sony vtc5 DO not use two different batteries, buy the batteries together, use them together and charge them together always. think of them as an annoying married couple that cant be apart.
I did buy these batteries together, they have only been used for one mod. When one was running low I would swap it out for the other one. Can I use these for now just to make sure that my hex ohm is running properly? I am charging them right now so that they will be at the same charge level.
i would not run the mod on two different types of batteries. I'm not trying to be a weiner, i don't wanna see anyone fry a new board, what batteries are they?
To be honest, i have no clue. When i bought my mod in a local vape shop, they sold me 2 batteries for it. The sticker i am showing you is the only identification on them. : ( sent from my Galaxy Note 5
if they discharge at two different rates you could be using that warranty much sooner or repair. I'm sorry, i know youre excited to try the new toy, but, it really would be best to get two good batteries for it first. they appear to be an HE 4 and HE2, but i cant say for certain. if they are; however, they do have to different discharge rates.
Hm. I will go to a shop that sells Hex Ohms. Maybe they will know which batteries are right for it. sent from my Galaxy Note 5
Give it a few days place an order at Liionwholesale. Thank me later and while there pick up a few extra battery cases.
ok... here i s alittle more information in the difference between the 2 batteries. https://batterybro.com/blogs/18650-...n-the-lg-he2-and-lg-he4-which-is-newer-better I'm not trying to be a pain, i just would hate to see you get hurt. and the hexohm batteries, are Samsung 25rs that are rewrapped, some great batteries!!
Due to my impatience, I purchased a married pair of batteries from my favorite local vape shop. I showed him my new Hex, he immediately knew which batteries to give me. He then instructed me how to charge them properly, that I am to switch their positions everytime and explained why, he showed me when to buy new batteries and why, and explained battery safety as well as safety for that particular mod. Out of the four local vape shops in my area, this is why i keep coming back here. They know what they are talking about and prove it. However, I am still going to order from this site you suggested, I am going to need backup batteries. Thank you for your help!
Not only did I get some very good high drain batteries, but my Eclipse tank works on it! Yay! It's because it has a spring loaded coil like my Sigelei.
