IPV D2 Temp Settings

I'm using my D2 in temp mode with a premade .05 nickel Atlantis coil. I can't get a satisfying hit unless I set the temp above 500 degrees and use 40+ joules. I don't believe this is typical. What are your settings?

I typically use .5 kanthal coils at 45 - 50 watts.

The only thing I can think to ask is: Did you first lock in the resistance of the coil at room temperature? I'm usually at about 420F and between 25-30j on my 3Li

Yes I did. I hold both (up and down) buttons and it reads the resistance. I do wish it acknowledged locking the resistance in though. Its not very clear.

I'm at 480 and 43 joules. Its subtle, but pleasant. Thanks guys.
