What calculator is this? I'm no computer guru at all, I can barely open email, but my guess is that your computer doesn't like the program used to create it. LIke, if I had created a word document in MS Works, but the person opening it has some other program that can't open/decipher it, they get an error message.

Oh good Lord, people, remind me to not attempt to speak computer.

Hopefully one of our whiz kids can give you a better, clearer answer.

Juice Calculator is the name of it. Every time I try to save something I get that error message. When I close the program, everything is lost.

Oh that sucks. I recently read a post where someone else is using that one. Trying to remember who, now. I use ejuicemeup, and there are a few online ones that'll save your info, too. I'll go look at the threads I've read this morning to see who that was.

Try e-liquid-recipes.com. Just found it yesterday, after using another online calculator for a while.

The problem I'm having is the weight of my ingredients do not match what the Web says they should. These are my 1ml weights, and they seem heavier than they should :

NIC= 1.47
PG = 1.02
VG = 1.54
FLAV = 1.6

You'd get much more accuracy using syringes instead of weighing.

Best way to find out is to weigh them yourself, but I just go with whatever is already set up in their programs. I only care about the consistency of the flavor from mix to mix. I'm sure they're not completely accurate, but they taste good.

I did weigh out a ml of each and that's what I came up with. If I put those weights into ejuicemeup I overfill my bottles.

Using EJuice Me Up, you can go under the "Tools" tab and set the weights for your fluids. 100% accuracy, much more so than syringes or beaker measurements.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but I swear it's true!

Please don't think this is a stupid question, but are you turning the scale on before or after you put the container you're weighing in on it?

That has to be an error. The weight on your flavoring is extremely high. Just saying.

I use the tare button to zero the scale after I put my bottle on it.

And what did you use to calibrate? I know you aren't stupid, but if there's something up with the scale itself it'll cause problems.

The 2 weights that came with it, and it passed.

What is the weight supposed to be of 1ml nic @ 18mg in a 250ml bottle?

This is from Botboy's guide to mixing by weight:
Weight of PG: 1.038 grams per ml
Weight of VG: 1.26 grams per ml
Weight of Pure Nicotine: 1.01 grams per ml
Weight of 100mg in PG: 1.0352 grams per ml
Weight of 100mg in VG: 1.235 grams per ml

That's Hot Rod's calculator. Ask about the error on the dark side here.

It's an excellent program with more features than any one individual could ever hope for. Stay with it; you'll be glad you did!

Since my nic is 18mg in 100%vg, I would use 1.235?
Unless you have some way to precisely measure volume. Odds are, they are incorrect. However, using the weight method, as you are doing now. Those weights vs volume have been done in the past, in controlled environments. Stick with the numbers provided, for better control.

I always set my flavor weight the same as pg weight, since they're all in a pg solution. It's not 100% precise, but very close.

If you have the proper program for your Operating System (Windows #, Mac, Linux), you should ask the developer of that program. Just a different Windows version, can cause problems running a program, if hasn't been compiled for that particular version.

Link to developer (HotRod) above,

I'm using the same for quite a while. Advantage over a program, no compatibility problems, and access to it on any computer, not just a single one. Of course, being able to safe recipes without error messages.
