I've had this box for 2-3weeks. I just dropped it from 6 inches onto concrete putting it into its pouch that was in my book bag. Fuck man. I put a Nick on the corner and the screen isn't readable. I doubt that lavabox would warranty it due to my fault but anyone ever deal with this type of thing. Would they even warranty chip?

That massively sucks, man. I feel your pain, indirectly. My wife has killed 5 tanks and 2 or 3 mods this year alone.

Email them and be honest. They might not cover it under warranty but they may fix it for a fee. That's what I would do.

Dude. U don't know man this was my first like dna device and my most expensive mod purchase and I'm not happy bout it. I've dropped mods phones etc with just cosmetic damage to show for it and no issues with chips Now I have an expensive paperwork. I'm pretty pissed at myself for dropping it and pissed the expensive mod couldnot take a 6inch drop.

Plus I'm not sure if I want to buy another dna product or even a replacement screen which I just checked cost 50 for the screen

While that really sucks, the replacement screen is $12. The whole chip (board) with a screen is $50
    https://www.evolvapor.com/products/dna75

I would contact Volcano first and explain it. If that didn't do any good, I would contact Evolv and explain what happened. I don't think a drop should kill the screen. It might be warranted through Evolv since the screen is technically part of the chip. Lastly it's possible the connector ribbon cable from the screen got jarred loose from the board (best case scenario).

My wife is getting silicone sleeves for her eVic AIOs for her birthday.

Yeah, I would be fuming if a device couldn't handle a 6" drop (15cm for the EU), especially at that price.

Just open up a ticket with Evolv if Volcano won't help you. Evolv has excellent CS. It will only cost you the price it costs to ship it to them. They are in Ohio. I posted the link in my above post to open a ticket with them. You can either get it fixed or not - your call.

With any luck on your side they'll reply stating that it has happened in testing and they found that all you need to do is something simple inside to correct it.
Like @Wingsfan0310 mentioned the ribbon cable.
Sorry for your current bad luck.

The screen contact might of become detached. Open it up and take a look.

Or a Coolfire IV. I dropped one out of my lap to the driveway, about a 5ft forceful spin-and-drop (from exiting a truck) to the concrete... still works perfectly. Got a little ding in the bottom edge.

Yeah man , don't freak out yet .being a DNA you can get replacement parts and repair it .. where I would have a heart attack myself if I dropped either of mine also , that was one of the reasons I got the DNA so if it happened I can pop in a new board and roll .....trust me I know the feeling , I dropped a brand new I stick 50 2 days after I bought it and killed the screen ...bought from a b&m and did the same thing , screen shot but still worked fine ...makes you sick to your stomach I know ...good luck and I am sure someone here can lead you to the right spot to get it repaired ..

I have lots of DNA mods including the Lavabox DNA75. I've dropped them as well with nothing happening including the Lavabox DNA75. Sometimes when you drop a mod it malfunctions. Shit happens.

Just because some of you have a different mod that you dropped and still works doesn't mean that everyone with that mod would have it turn out the same way. Every drop is different, depends on how it hits. It's not really helpful to the OP to tell him he should have bought this or that. The fact is he bought what he bought and he is looking for help to get it back up and running.

    Cheers,
    Steve

This might seem ultra simplistic and my intention is not to offend anyone. Whenever I hold my mod I keep my Pinky on the underside of the mod. After a while it just becomes habit. This little technique has really helped me cut down on the drops I have. I do agree with Steve. People's experiences with drops will vary greatly due to the quality of the mod and the type of drop. That being said the only mod I have absolute faith in should it suffer a severe drop would be my Hohmtech G2.

I'm usually very careful with my mods. They are usually in a sleeve or very firm in my hand or in a pouch.

Just a guess but Device Monitor would tell them if the chip is working. I would also have sent the picture you posted here showing the screen. Does the mod still work?

EDIT: I see you did send the pic of the screen ..sorry poor reading on my part. There were problems with the screen connectors coming loose on some of the earlier DNA 200 chips. hopefully that's all that,s wrong with yours.
