I'm a security guard who watches screens all night and found myself eating just as something to do. So I recently picked up vaping to curb it. It's been helping with that . . . A lot actually, but it's also just fun. So I really wanna get more into the hobby side of things building etc.
I didn't smoke prior so I keep my juice at a zero or sometimes a one in nicotine. Not a fan of burn but I like big clouds. Right now I just have an all black eGo AIO by Joytec (fancy shit right?lol) and I like it fine i guess but I really wanna move up.

Admittedly astectics is huge for me I was looking at the steam punk stuff by tesla but I'm having a devil of a time finding non biased reviews in terms I can understand. I'm really new and I pick stuff up quick but not instantly. I could go to a local vape shop we have four in my tiny town but I don't wanna just get sold the most expensive thing in the place and have it like explode in my pocket. Plus they seem to cater just to men. Now I don't want like a rinestone studded pink becon of all things girly, but I do want something that doesn't looked like swiped it off my 8 year old brother with an obsession for all things flames.

Hi there and welcome to VU, With so many choices out there today I would look for something that goes up to 100 watts, that way if your vaping changes, you have the higher power to run stronger coils if need be, watch and read a few reviews on some different models to get to know them. Good luck!!:)

Couldn't have said it better! You definitely want the wiggle room. Plus you can build a WIDE range of coils on a 100w+ mod. I run macros at 30w - 35w and my most recent build is dual 12 wrap coils @ 100w - 120w.

And don't feel bad with your little AIO - they're actually pretty cool with their tank lights. (Or was that the clone I seen?) We all start somewhere - I started on a 60w Kanger Topbox Nano kit. But if you're gonna get into building, research Ohms Law. Doesn't pertain to regulated mods but in case you get a mech it'll come in handy.

I'd look at some of the starter kits like the Pico or evic mini that come with a tank At 75 watts single battery they will be small and you can always punk it out your self. Any mod over 75 watts will be a 2 battery mod but like Whiskey said you'll be covered for any atty you may use on it. I hear a lot of good things about the Coolfire IV mods with internal batteries There is a TC 100 I think. I have the Coolfire IV 18650 and it works well in all modes but you need an external battery charger. J-wraps have some nice steam punk wraps you could put on the mod. Good luck and have fun.

    this is a sexy combo
    [IMG]
you get 220 watts (more then enough for anything) can build your own coils, great flavor and clouds.

There are tons of options out there as stated. figure out your price range and what you are looking for and some options and then you can ask here if they are good or not. were are all here to give good advice and lots of really smart people here with a lot of experience :)

Personally, I love my little AIO. I have the white and black combo. It pairs nicely with my Kanger Subvod and Vapeberri.

Once you have purchased the mod of your dreams, you can fully customize the way it looks here....

    http://www.jwraps.com/Default.asp

They have decorative "Skin's" for virtually every mod under the sun.

They are very easy to install and very long lasting.

I've been watching reviews on it on YouTube and apparently i didn't screw up by starting with this one. it's gotten top marks in everything I've seen.
Plus I'm a sucker for the light up function. Lol

Unfortunately I paid 20 something for mine at a local shop and apparently it's like 16bucks online which pisses me off. What did you pay for yours?
Also mines a bit longer than the one I've seen in reviews so maybe it's older?

I think I've got it narrowed down
    - Smok Alien kit (omg gold and black ugh I'm so in love I just need a gold tank and I'll be in heaven. Also a puff counter that's cool)
    - Kanger Subbox mini

So far from what I've seen these are great. Now to find a price I can love. I'll be scowering the vendors threads here. See if anyone is going to run any Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.

also a little off topic but is there like an Juice swap thread?
I know that there are all kinds of shops across the county small mom and pop places that have special blends. Thought it might be cool to get maybe a secrect Santa swap or and a general swap thread going.
Could be a fun way to explore new stuff and try stuff you might not of otherwise found on your own.

I whatched a bunch of YouTube reviews about it and I think this is the one I'll be getting for sure. It's gotten top marks from a lot of people and with that wattage I'll be able to use it for a long time.
That tank looks almost as big as the mod lol.
    Love that black glass

yeah the alien is great. IMO the best reviewer is DJLsb but his videos are long. like 1 hour but he goes into complete details, runs tests to make sure the mod does what it's supposed to and disassembles the entire mod to show you the internals.

It's slick as hell! I want an Alien but I'll settle for a new RX200 knowing the firmware update threw the power up to 250w.

Drip tip is just the mouthpiece. Dripping you need an RDA for. Instead of a tank you drip liquid directly on your coils.

i wouldn't really go with the RX. power isn't everything. watch the review from DJLsb they have known issues with the 510 pin and they use really thin wire on the inside. they are cheap for a reason.

    no problem!
dripping is for RDA attys which means there is no tank on it so you have to keep dripping juice onto the coils
drip tip is the part on the top of the atty where you put your lips on. most attys have replaceable drip tips and most are 510 size

Rebuildable. Biggest advantage of a RDA.

Drip tips have advantages and disadvantages. The one on Richard's gold tank for example, has an airflow control on the Drip tip.

preference really. back in the days yeah now tanks have become almost as good as RDAs anyway. but they are fun for building on. Usually best flavor and clouds are RDAs and tanks are more convenience but many tanks are as good as a lot of RDAs now and they have reubuildable tanks. The supreme and azeroth i showe in the pictures are both rebuildable tanks

    Clouds, flavor, ease of building.
But the same can be said for RDTAs like the azeroth and avocado. But for learning to build and wick it's easiest imho on an rda. Like a tugboat or something along those lines.
The 2/3 is the highest wattage device I have.
    Telsa is a 150w, I have a home made 120w box and a hohm wrecker g2 which is 171w[IMG]

Don't worry to much about getting something that will last you a lifetime, every time I buy something I tell my wife "this thing is bad ass, I never need another mod/tank/rda/etc.. again" then a week later I find something new lol

That's fucking awesome! I'm an ex-smoker myself. I slip up and have a smoke occasionally but it's more of a treat. I still love the taste of REAL tobacco but I could definitely go without.

I just recently got a smok koopor mini 2 beast kit that's been seriously awesome. I've only tried the pre-installed 0.6 ohm coil but will be trying the .15 next. It takes baby beast coils in this new Brit beast tank (3.5 ml capacity). Vape at 40 watts plenty of cloud and great flavor on the two juices I've tried. Looks cool too. Single 18650 mod.
