Kanger Burnt out taste after accidentally holding fire button

Yesterday, the fire button on my Kanger Top Box was held for an extended period of time (accidentally) and after replacing the coils, every hit smells of that nasty burnt out taste. In fact the entire setup smells. Is the whole thing unusable? i am thinking of trying a new tank, but dont want to throw money away if the entire thing is a brick now.

Most likely an insulator within the atomizer has burned and melted. If you could post some photos of the Kanger and the atty maybe others will be able to help you out.

I would not use it since its not known if the board is fried or some of the wiring or just the atomizer.

Thanks for the advice, I'll wash out the tank tonight and see where that gets me. I've attached a couple of images of the wiring inside. It looks alright to me. I'm no expert in circuitry but it might help others discern whether or not this thing is dangerous to use. i can take more pics if needed
