I see the confusion between VTC4 / 5 specs a lot on this sub. I thought I'd make a blog post to help clear it up. The VTC5 is 20A, but a higher capacity.

A vtc5 only overheats at 30a when it's ran to a lower voltage than regulated mods allow. In a mech as the voltage drops, so do the amps. The way we use these batteries is not even close to the conditions of the test that showed vtc5's being 20 amp cells. I call bullshit.
