If ur a cloud chaser amd use high wattages then mesh coils arent the way to go right? Been seeing them get more and more popular but doesnt seem like something Id be interested in cause I like big clouds. I heard they r good for flavor though. Anyone out there use them?

I use them. It probably depends on how you build because my Vaporesso GT Tanks are quite cloudy.

But yes, standard Kanthal/Ni80 coils should give you better clouds since you can do aliens, staples and all other kinds of builds which are able to handle high wattages.

R there different gauges of mesh or is there just one kind?

They come in grades from usually 100 mesh to 500 mesh

They also come in kanthal or SS (maybe other alloys, too)

I think lower # mesh is typically used for the heating coil, and higher # mesh is used more often as wicking material
