Yeah Arnie I did not want a area that was making fun of someone burning off their fingers just some pics of incidents by some Mods this could be a good heads up to the community on what to watch for. Just a thought

Yeah man mine did something similar I had changed the battery and put a VTC5 in that just charged I usually just charged via the USB but I decided to put it in and I started to screw back on the back cover and I felt heat.. I looked at the from window and there was a flame in in it burned all the chips the from panel some of the wires and singed the red cover... made the VTC5 vent scared the bejesus out of me... luckily the Vendor is replacing it when I get around to sending it back... I have pics but do not want to post them unless Joe and crew approve such a are

One time I fired my authentic copper stingray with a non rebuildable atty on it that I had been tinkering with trying to clean the coil. Fired for a millisecond, mod got to hot to touch instantly, I mean HOT. Dropped to the counter, waited to cool, removed battery (VTC4). Atty tested out @ .01ohm. Magnets in the switch were toast(now replaced). Battery was hot, but not vented. I feel very lucky and am certainly more careful now.

Yeah I saw that I have enough DNA 30 (Evolv) mods I do like tinkering with the Clones though KSD has a 30 watt of the same mod that is still on pre-order from most places It looks cool I like the cheaper mods so I can mess with them and if they screw up ...Ohhh well,also my GF loses, runs over them with the car, Her huskies take off with them and bury them in the backyard etc so she does not get expensive mods haha.I really don't care about any of the echeaper mods in fact I have 7 mods that have gone bad in a year no Mech's all VV or Wattage

So when someone shows a picture of their cancer on a forum caused by smoking cigarettes does the FDA jump in? Do they stop Marlboro or anyone else from making that cigarette? Does the FDA control China? can they control private makers of Mods?

The FDA supports cigarettes so why the fuck would they care if someone shows their cancer.. they openly put it on their packaging that it causes it.. so that was a terrible rebuttal.
If you remember a while back, the media went crazy with one story about a battery blowing up in a mod.. and made it seem like e-cigs were insanely dangerous - after everything is finalized with the FDA then I say who cares but if we have a open place where people post pics and stories about these situations, it gives whoever the ammo needed... the fda, the media, government officials.. it doesn't really matter.. and if you think these folks don't search for information in forums you are sadly mistaken and you should do some more research yourself on how reporting works in 2014.
I think the reason the battery explosion got air time is because it came during the time the big airliner was haveing trouble with its battery bank . It was more about the hazzards of Li type batterys. Something that I see is a concern here as well . The use of the kick with unprotected batterys is one of the first things I learned here . B.T.W I have only been vapeing for 4 months now so I guess I am a FNG
That was a worse reply than mine do you realize that the Internet is full of pictures of mods blowing up fires, Porn with vape etc I do not really care if the forum gets approved or not but if you think there are not already pictures, videos etc everywhere you may want to look. And I do not have to do any research I know exactly what is out there. I suggest you learn more about the FDA and differentiate the FDA from a media frenzy that could have started from "X" point

I think there should be threads (or sub-forums?) dedicated to:
1 - dangerous Ecig Mods
2 - inferior mods (that go belly-up too fast)
3 - superior mods (reliable, affordable, intuitive, comfortable design)
4 - safe vs non-safe ejuices (based on current knowledge/facts)
Because all ecigs have to do with electricity, I would hope that the powers-that-be would find it comforting to see that the vaping community is sharing information that shows a concern for safety. (For example, Sigelei recently recalled a number of their 50 and 100 Watt mods for defects. Consumers often find the defects first.)
Because there's a new Mod on the scene almost every day of the week, I'd like to know which ones folks find in the long run to be reliable...or not, whether its a Mechanical or VV/VW. (For example the MVP...I'd post that it's an amazingly affordable mod for how long it lasts between charges and how reliable it is.)
Every single thing in/on the earth is dangerous to some degree. Life itself is pretty risky. So there is nothing inherently bad about concern for safety in every area of life. The ecig itself was invented, I'm sure, to provide an alternative to the high health risks of smoking tobacco. That's a good thing that I'm very grateful for. And I believe that we all strive to have the best and safest ecig mods and ejuices that we can get.

they were bad I think I am going to start a review show where if the mod sucks it gets blown up literally or if it acts up in a certain amount of time.

You hit the nail on the head, to just tell the truth about the dangerous mods. I'm glad and every vaper should be glad that you told the story of what your Cana Mod did. We need information like that. And we need to hold Mod makers accountable, just as we hold car and motorcycle makers, etc, accountable. So 'outing' the bad mods is good for us all!
Bro I know what you mean and I know that in. World where mods were made in the USA that could happen. I want to see any human or country on this Planet to tell China what to do.
