I know something about opening windows and doors
I know how to move quietly to creep across creaky wooden floors
I know where to find precious things in all your cupboards and drawers

Slipping the clippers
Slipping the clippers through the telephone wires
The sense of isolation, the sense of isoloation
Inspires me

I like to feel the suspense when I'm certain you know I am there
I like you lying awake, your baited breath charging the air
I like the touch and the smell of all the pretty dresses you wear

Intruders happy in the dark
Intruder come
Intruder come and he leave his mark, leave his mark
Leave his mark
Leave his mark
Leave his mark
Leave his mark
Leave his mark
Leave his mark

I am the intruder

Canadian mounted baby, a police force that works
Red and black, that's their color scheme
Get their man, in the end

It's all right (repeat four more times)
Oh yeah my honey knows it's all right
It's all right (repeat four more times)
Oh yeah my baby knows it's all right
c'mon little husky

Frontenac Chateau baby
I'll cross the frontier at ten
Got a whip in my hand baby
And a girl or a husky at leather's end

It's all right (repeat four more times)
Oh yeah my honey knows it's all right
It's all right (repeat four more times)
Oh yeah my baby knows it's all right

Horn swoop me bungo pony, dogsled on ice
Make a dash for freedom baby don't skate on polar ice
It's too think to be sliced by the light
Of long and white polar nights

It's all right (repeat four more times)
Oh yeah my honey knows it's all right
It's all right (repeat four more times)
Oh yeah my baby knows it's all right

How could I fool you, I rest and assure you
Take it off from here and put you on the line, yeah
Your back to the pistol and iron bullets whistle
The landscape's open and the world is mine, it's still mine.

O-D'd on life, life itself
(O-D'd on life itself, O-D'd on life itself, the power of powers
And once luminous spell)
O-D'd on life, life itself
(O-D'd on life itself, O-D'd on life itself, crumpled like grave cloths and
Hipped to the help and you've)
O-D'd on life itself

Writings appear on the wall
The curtains part and landscape fall
There, the writing's done, in blood
Like a mummy's inscription and a bat-wing tongue

Well then the mouth of the cave will open up wide
Wide as the world that's mine, it's mine, it's still mine

So don't you fear the trade in life
Life loves force but force loves life, yeah
This wedding by heaven was made up in hell
With the victim as bride and life, life itself

O-D'd on life, life itself
(O-D'd on life itself, O-D'd on life itself, the power of powers
And once luminous spell)
O-D'd on life, life itself
(O-D'd on life itself, O-D'd on life itself, crumpled like grave cloths and
Hipped to the help and you've)
O-D'd on life itself

O-D'd on life, you O-D'd on life itself
O-D'd on life, you O-D'd on life itself
O-D'd on life, life itself.

Riding the underground, swimming in sweat
A rumble above and below, hey cop don't you know?
The heat's on alright
The hot summer day didn't quit for the night

1277 express to heaven, speeding along like dynamite
1277 express to heaven, rumbles the steel like a dogfight
You caught me in it's spell
Trying to leave but you know darn well
The heat from below can burn your eyes out

Blackened out eyes, scratched on a wall
Stoned out looks from the crowd, the king will not know
On the wall it was said
The flash of his cards was sprayed with red

1277 express to heaven, speeding along like dynamite
1277 express to heaven, rumbles the steel like a dogfight
You caught me in it's spell
Trying to leave but you know darn well
The heat from below can burn your eyes out

Flights of black horseman soar over churches
Pursued by an army of birds in the rain
None of them can see the clouds, the polished wings don't care
Animal ways through the hazy dreams full of pain

Wings wetted down, stumbling on the ground
It all turns around, in the end
The voices sound deadly, sometimes I hear
Echoes of empires, spread throughout the sky

Wings wetted down, stumbling on the ground
It all turns around, in the end

Flights of black horseman soar over churches
Pursued by an army of birds in the rain
Wings wetted down, stumbling on the ground
It all turns around, in the end

It's knowing that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me tend to leave my sleeping bag
Rolled up and stashed behind your couch
And it's knowing I'm not shackled
By forgotten words and bonds
And the ink stains that are dried upon some line
That keeps you in the backroads
By the rivers of my memory
That keeps you ever gentle on my mind
It's not clinging to the rocks and ivy
Planted on their columns now that bind me
Or something that somebody said
Because they thought we fit together walking
It's just knowing that the world will not be cursing
Or forgiving when I walk along some railroad track and find
That you're moving on the backroads
By the rivers of my memory
And for hours you're just gentle on my mind
Though the wheat fields and the clothes lines
And the junkyards and the highways come between us
And some other woman's cryin' to her mother
'Cause she turned and I was gone
I still might run in silence tears of joy might stain my face
And the summer sun might burn me 'til I'm blind
But not to where I cannot see you walkin' on the backroads
By the rivers flowing gentle on my mind
I dip my cup of soup back from a gurglin'
Cracklin' caldron in some train yard
My beard a rustling, cold towel, and
A dirty hat pulled low across my face
Through cupped hands 'round the tin can
I pretend to hold you to my breast and find
That you're waiting from the backroads
By the rivers of my memories
Ever smilin' ever gentle on my mind

Huh? Oh yeah, Uhhh here we are:

Would you like to come home with me?
I can think of things to show ya
Thinkin' that I'd like to know ya, uh
Mornin' milkman's comin'
Get up, greet my day
Evenin' brings the sun in
Still I find my way
Change of plans, makin' a landin' to see ya
And I do wanna be your man, oh, yeah
Sunday, highway drivin'
It all looks about the same
Nowhere, just arrivin'
Still I play the game
I'm home grown, growin' my own and I need ya
Need ya to beg my pardon, to tend my garden
Flowers, she's sittin' for poses
She wants me to sing my song
Hours, she's like a stoned Moses
Guess I'll sing along

Music is what we like to play
Yeah yeah
All day, all day, all day, all day, all day
To soothe your soul, yeah
Down at the beach or a party in town
Making love or just lying around
To soothe your mind, yeah
Music is what we like to play, yeah yeah
All day, all day, all day, all day, all day
To soothe your soul, yeah
Let's have a picnic, go to the park
Rolling in the grass till long after dark
To soothe your mind, yeah
Down at the beach y'all partying down
Making love or just lying around
Let's have a picnic, go to the park
Rolling in the grass till long after dark
Down at the beach y'all partying down
Making love or just lying around
Let's have a picnic, go to the park
Rolling in the grass till long after dark
Down at the beach y'all partying down

Ah
Well, well, well, well, well, well, well
Wow, wow, wow (hoo hoo hoo)
I was slippin' into darkness
When they took my friend away
I was slippin' into darkness
When they took, when they took my friend away
You know he loves to drink good whiskey (Wo ho ho ho)
While laughing at the moon
Slippin' into darkness
Take my mind beyond the dreams
I was slippin' into darkness, yeah
Take my mind beyond the dreams
Where I talk to my brother (Wo ho ho ho)
Who never said their name
Slippin' into darkness, yeah
All my trouble so I choose
I was slippin' into darkness, yeah
All my trouble so I choose
I got a wife and a baby, yeah yeah (Oh ho ho ho)
Now my love hath gained its fame, yeah
Slippin' into darkness, yeah
When I heard my mother say
I was slippin' into darkness
When I heard my mother say
Hey, what'd she say what'd she say
You've been slippin' into darkness (Wo ho ho ho)
Pretty soon you gonna pay, hey
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh

HUH?

I never met a girl could make me feel the way that you do
(You're all right)
Whenever I'm asked what makes a my dreams real
I tell 'em you do
(You're outta sight)
Well tweedle dee, tweedle dum
Look out baby now here I come
I'm bringin' you a love that's true yeah, get ready (get ready, get ready)
I'll stop makin' love to you, get ready (get ready, get ready)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (I said I'm on my way)
Get ready, 'cause here I come
If you wanna play hide and seek with love, let me remind ya
(You're all right)
The lovin' you're gonna miss, and the time it takes to find ya
(You're outta sight)
Well tweedle dee, tweedle dum
Look out baby now here I come
I'm bringin' you a love that's true yeah, get ready (get ready, get ready)
I'll stop makin' love to you, get ready (get ready, get ready)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (I said I'm on my way)
Get ready, 'cause here I come
If all of my friends shouldn't want me to, I think I'll understand
(You're alright)
I hope I get to you before they do 'cause, that's how I planned it
(You're outta sight)
Well fee-fi fo-fo-fum, look out baby, said here I come
I'm bringin' you a love that's true yeah, get ready (get ready, get ready)
I'll stop makin' love to you, get ready (get ready, get ready)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (I said I'm on my way now)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (oh)
If you wanna play hide and seek with love, let me remind ya
(You're all right)
The lovin' you're gonna miss, and the time it takes to find ya
(You're outta sight)
Well tweedle dee, tweedle dum
Look out baby now here I come
I'm bringin' you a love that's true yeah, get ready (get ready, get ready)
I'll stop makin' love to you, get ready (get ready, get ready)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (I said I'm on my way now)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (oh)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (hey, get ready, baby)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (you gotta get ready, ready)
Get ready, 'cause here I come (baby here I come)

Nice. I want to record my first song in the near future, can't imagine my life without music. I often read blog for musicians here with useful info. Want to become a pro and start making my own music one day.
