i bought the smok tf-r2 and I took the small coils out of it and put some Clapton coils in it, 5 wrap, I'm not sure what gauge, it came with the smok tank I bought, maybe 22 gauge but I'm really not sure. Im running it a 50 watts and I was seeing how high I could get it, taking it slow, I got a dry hit at 70 watts. Is that normal or did I mess up somewhere?

I am pretty new still and specially if I'm above 50 or 60 watts with any of my builds they will run through the juice much faster.
I have a vortice RDA I run wide open air dual coils about .3ohms, my coils are different combos of twisted to braided. The only time I get a dry hit is when I am constantly vaping back to back. How do you setup your wick and what do you use
