does nichrome 80 cause more battery sag than kanthal even if their the same resistance? or is it the fact that i had much more wrapps with the nichrome trying to get the resistance the same as kanthal?

Think of it this way. If you had a 14ga kanthal dual coil at 0.3 ohms you would need to wrap that sucker for about 43 wraps each coil around a 3mm pin. Do you think your battery would sag more on that build than say a dual 24ga build which would only require about 5-6 wraps for each coil??? Not trying to be condescending, but I sure sound like it. I am sorry about that. Not my intention. I am just saying whenever you have a question like this, think of it in EXTREMES and it helps to understand it a bit more. This works in a lot of situations.
