You'd be surprised how many times that's a culprit. Coil positioning and wicking are always the prime suspects but there's a lot of people that over fire ss and never experience it at it's peak because of that

Yeah you can do that. Just experiment with a few builds. Have fun!
SS is a cleaner taste so your off to a good start

Yeah, unfortunately twisted coils are prone to spitback. I stay away from twisted for that reason, unless it's a twisted fused Clapton.

You're frying your cotton. What's the wattage you're vaping at ? If you're still using stainless steal you should change the cotton and try temp control.

Hmm, shouldn't be burning at that wattage. I would vape the tank down, pull the build and post the pics so we can help you further. You could have hot spots.
In the mean time you could try temp control.

The cotton looks good tho it could be burned inside the coils.

Perhaps it's not wicking fasting enough to keep up with 6+ second pulls.

Three things you can try...

1) bump up the wattage and take shorter drags.

2) vape in temp control mode.

3) try a new build but with spaced coils. Spaced coils will dissipate heat better and help temp control function more accurately.​
