ohm goes to 0.2 to 0.9

im new to vaping and I bought my first istick pico, being a noob I didn't know about the priming so I burned my first atomizer, now I'm using the 0.3 ohm. What I did is I tried to fix my other atomizer by rebuilding the coil thru youtube video tutorials, I did 7 wraps with kanthal 26g and when I inserted it, the ohm reads .33, I did a few puffs without powering it then it read 0.5, I bumped the wattage then it just goes up again to 0.9. I removed it and just stick to my 0.3.

The question is why does this happen? Can someone explain this to me? Thanks.

Or you havent separate the legs of the coil properly with the rubber insulator like can be seen below ...the one sitting on top touches the positive plate when you push it back in ....the leg sticking out to side there is negative

If these leads aren’t tight after re-assembling it’s going to throw the resistance out all over the place including possible shorting

The other part is it enough cotton between the coil and casing ...with all the gubbins removed except a single sheet (like the top layer of Muji cotton)

Notice the negative wire touches the inside casing all the way down where as the positive runs inside separated by the cotton wicking you add and later that bung I pictured at the top ...only thing the positive wire should touch is the plate
