orchid v6 help needed

Hello I'm using 24 gauge kanthal to rebuild a orchid v6. I'm trying to get bigger clouds but I also like more flavor. I've got 26 gauge kanthal also. Can some one tell me how many wraps it would take to get around .2 or. 3 ohms. What size drill bit should I use for more clouds? Should I use 24gauge or 26?thanks

26ga twisted, 6 wraps =0.22ohms on my orchids.

0.4 for a good balance of flavor and clouds. 0.3 or lower if your cloud chasing.
I use 25g on a 2.5mm rod to get to 0.4, 24g will be hard to get above 0.35 ohms. 26g can be done @ 0.4 with about 6 or 7 wraps.
Some people are reporting better flavor going from 2.5mm to 2.0mm rod in this thread (2.0 is a lot easier to fit in there too). Lots of orchid assistance in this thread also...

Use this to get an idea of how big and how many wraps for what you're shooting for. Leg length is about 4mm on an orchid.
