Hey Everyone.
I've been a member here since March.
I smoked for over 20 years and Vaping has been a God Send for me.
Throughout my Vaping journey I've met a lot of great people on this forum and can say you're all a pretty damn good bunch of people.
A couple months ago I was finally able to get my mother to quit smoking and start vaping. She had smoked for around 50 years. Her case was a bit different though. She recently had a pacemaker put in and was obviously encouraged by her doctors to stop smoking and make other changes to improve her health. I'm pleased to say that she took to vaping quite easily and is now enjoying it.
Unfortunately....
she has run into terrible complications with her pacemaker.
It got infected and had to be removed.
It now has had to be relocated. The surgery didn't go well, and because the pacemaker is now on the opposite side of her body that it needs to be, they were not able to secure 1 of the 3 needed leads to her heart. She will be having a 4th surgery to get that lead secured by a Cardiac Specialist in a couple of days. This surgery however is Much more Invasive and comes with significantly more risk.
I wanted to post this not as a friggin "Pity Party" for me or her in ANY way,
but in hopes to generate some Prayers and/or Good Vibes for my mother.
After all, we can never get enough of those can we? And I Do Believe every little bit helps.
With any luck the surgery will be a success, and she will be able to continue and enjoy her vaping experience.
