If your going to budget wire use bread ties they are ss and get really low ohms im talking .01 but they eat your battery and you need to change um everyday cuz they get gross but paper clips usually have an alloy to keep um stiff

    First build
Nothing compared with some I have seen on this forum but I am proud and only took me an hour and a half.

It is 28 gage duel coil with 8 turns on a 2.5 mm rod. The are sitting in a Billows V7 deck and fire at .44 ohms

Any tips to improve would be appreciated!

Now to wick this and see how she works

The coil seems to be bent out of shape, I suspect that happened when installing the coil and tightening the screws, to solve this install the coil while having it still on the rod/screwdriver/jig you were building it on, just make sure to turn off or lock the mod first.

The coil is not twisted enough, needs to be a lot more twisted.

As for your later build, since both coils are different and have a different resistance they won't heat up evenly, both coils need to be exactly (or roughly) the same.

My regular daily build on the Mutation X V4 - dual mix twisted 7 wrap. I also usually sit right around 70W - my comfort zone for both flavor and blowin O's lol - I just rewicked it last night for the "Panda Shake" I just got in the mail. By the way, if you enjoy cookies and cream, this is the best cookies & cream tasting flavor I've had so far. And, in my opinion, it tastes just like ice cream because it's made by Milkshake Liquids. Anyway, I'm new to posting on this board and I just wanted to say what up to all! Much love from Philly! #Vapedaily [IMG][IMG]

How do you like your Toptank mini? I love mine. Works well even when chain vaping! I'm currently puffing on a .42 build and the flavor is right up there!

Yeah, great flavour and performance. I prefer the Subtank mini, leakfree filling, but that has nothing to do with the RBA deck, since they use the same. Really happy with that build.

My latest build for my Freakshow RDA. I built it to go on my mech mod. 0.24 ohm, pulls only around 16amp from a 20A battery.

This is a kissing quad build. 2.5mm id core, 6 wraps each coil, 26ga nichrome.
This is an awesome build for a 3 post atomizer. The coil sits directly over the air pipes!

Hey! I just learned this trick on another section of the forum because I couldn't get my mutation to stop leaking AND was getting annoyed taking the cap off every time to drip so (with help of this forum, I'm sorry I can't remember who to credit) but this is how it came out! It truly stopped the leaking (unless you completely overflow it obviously lol) but it has helped me considerably! Cheers #vapefamily !

My second build ever, staged fused clapton. Was so excited to vape it (was reading .11ohm) but after wicking and juicing it it was at .09ohms :D so now I'm waiting to end my surgery and hospital time and buying some unregulated box mod to try out this out :>

Sorry on low quality photo :(

don't fire a .09 build on an unregulated mod. only way that would be safe is with a dual battery parallel mod and using LG HB6 batts and it's pushing right at the limit.

I'd recommend getting a hohmwrecker G2. it'll fire any build and be much safer then using an unregulated mod

Ni wire IMO is just poor for vaping. if you want to try temp control get SS wire. it can also be used in power mode unlike Ni wire and is cheap and easy to find

no! why would you want a .01 coil?
did you check the resistance of that before using it on your mech? what do you normally build on? if you are using mechs as it looks like, you really need a meter to know the resistance and check for shorts

the price is good since there is a 50% off code (G2FLASHX1) but yeah shipping might be a bitch.

I find, some of my builds will leak, if the wick it to close to the top edge of the deck. Basically, it becomes over saturated and dribbles out of the wick. Making sure I had the wick totally inside and not on top, of the top of the deck worked.

I dont know what's up with this RDTA but it leaks like a mother. I checked the o rings and everything looked okay.

I think Friday I'm gonna go get a dripper to use at home. I'm not having good luck with the tanks.

Can't say this would solve it, but looks to me, like it needs more wicking. Just my amateur opinion.

Roger that. Not sure where exactly it's leaking from. Maybe from air holes. But I put it in my pocket. Always on the go. I think I'm gonna get a setup to take with me and a dripper for home.

It won't let me see the photo. :cuss2:

Were you sure to resize the photo to a small enough size for upload? I actually use my phone to post most photos here because it is so easy to resize them on the phone's editor.

Edit: Just checked and the google photo editor will not resize, I must have just used it to save and resize in another program before.

I made a pair of coils so badly today (my second), I am afraid to photograph them. Damn claptons on a 3 post deck!:gaah: It was vapable but so ugly and hard to fit without touching the sides of the RDA's air flow If I want to close it any. I need to work on centering them, I guess.

That is correct. Single coil, 7 wrap 24g. Worked great until i messed with it to adjust the wick then the protect kicked on.

Probably a short somewhere. What are you looking to achieve? Clouds, flavor, a bit of both?

I'm running a 220watt alien mod with a baby beast tank as my daily. It has good flavor and decent clouds at 90watts with a t8 coil. My RDA would probley lean more towards clouds preferably.

Once you get the RDA going good it might be hard to use the tank again. Both my husband and I have had our baby beasts (our first subohm sets were alien kits) pretty much laying around and mostly using the drippers. lol
