Pugsley's triple hearted war-crafty review of the CoilArt Azeroth RTA

Triphobia...fear of the number 3...I'm one of the weirdo's that has it, and if you would like to know why you'll have to pop on over to my house as I tend to drone on a bit and it far exceeds the character limit on this site, find it here... http://www.steampugs.co.uk/pugsleys-review-of-the-coilart-azeroth-rta/

If you don't then the rest of this review is going to make even less sense than normal....off you pop...

And a right royal rambling on that was too.....all that just to get to the saying 'bad things happen in threes' and to tell you that I'm a weirdo, as if you didn't already know....talk about going round the houses.....but still....who doesn't love a nice story involving love and...dog shit....anyway......I hope you are all well and good?, It's that time once again when I like to pretend I know what I'm on about whilst testing another fine piece of vapeology from....Shenzhen...probs....yep...just checked...Shenzhen again, and this time we revisit my favourite named vape company, CoilArt....the company known for giving great quality vape gear at an affordable price, and also for packing their tops with every conceivable extra....except...fucking....coils.....I'll never get my head around that....what's wrong with them..?, anyway lets dive right in there with an RTA that I have been asked many times to get hold of and write some nonsense about, a top that was rumoured to be a contender for RTA of the year, a category already choc full of amazing tanks so...all I can say to that is.....I'll be the fucking judge of that. From my good friends at Gearbest .... I present to you, The CoilArt Azeroth RTA ...

QlEaBVB.jpg

WTF was all that 'three' nonsense about then??....I hear you say, well....that is what makes the Azeroth unique, more on that in a short while, We'll start with the name, well...if you're one of these....

NFDLZYv.gif

Then you'll recognise the name straight away as it's a place from that 'geek porn' game Warcraft, which obviously....makes as little sense as these names ever do....so yeah...that's about all I have on that subject....not being one of those people I don't really feel qualified to comment further, I was always more a fan of...well...girls....and......friends.

The Azeroth is a none EU compliant (love it already) 4.5ml capacity 24mm wide RTA that on the surface doesn't particularly look like anything extraordinary, I mean it's nice to look at, especially in Stainless with that lovely engraved 'CoilArt' on the chamber...

HcNIxsc.jpg

But it's exactly what you would come to expect from today's contenders, Bottom adjustable airflow, 510, Gold plated build deck, glass tank, screw off top cap and top fill with nice big juice fill holes..

qC6bMns.jpg

The outside of this new wave of RTA's is however quite irrelevant, What singles these tanks out is the deck and the chamber, get that right, and you're onto a winner, you see the Azeroth has a USP that set's it apart from the others in the group.....a rather unique postless deck that houses THREE.....that's right....THREE..coils.....recipe for disaster if you ask me.....and there's that smell again......

mHls31J.jpg

Have you ever seen anything quite like that before, looks like a cross between a spinner and one of those plastic inserts they used to have in the middle of vinyl records.....totally showing my age there.....still, half expecting an imminent disaster I powered on and threw together 3 bog standard clapton's, figured room might be an issue...so I kept it simple... 0.31 ohms total.

4aoV8S3.jpg

Ok then I thought....stage one complete....and so far....so good...? So I grabbed my bacon, and stared at the juice channels...."so thats...3 juice channels...and 6 ends....hmm".....I ignored the little voice in the back of my head that said...

mOHamxF.gif

And just trimmed the ends enough so that the two ends together fit into one channel without it being it too tight....I mean this whole scenario was just going worryingly well...so where's the dog shit and leaves...??

njR19rs.jpg

I primed up the wicks with a little Strawberry Milkshake and screwed the whole thing back together, nice smooth threads by the way, always worth a mention. I filled it up about half way, obviously because the minute I put this thing upright it was clearly going to spew it's contents out of the air holes, all over my mod causing a short in the electronics and resulting in a huge explosion.....

X336RA3.gif

Wasn't it...?

Apparently not, what actually happened was one of the nicest vapes I have had for quite a while, The flavour off this thing was fucking awesome, the airflow was perfect, the vape was warm, thick and plentiful, and the whole experience was nothing short of....amazing?...hmm ... I thought, where's the catch?....I sat my mod on my desk and stared at it intently for over an hour and waited for the oncoming torrent of boiling liquid to come splurging out of the air holes directly into my eyes causing painful if not permanent damage...

KrQLHSa.gif

But not a drop was to be found.....anywhere?

By this point my Triphobia was utterly confused by the whole debacle, Not only had I nailed what should of been a confusing build with THREE coils on my first attempt...but...it was working perfectly...? pffft...bewilderment.

I've been sucking on this thing for a week now and had nothing but good come of it (that's what she said..) ...in fact the only negative I can say about the whole experience....is just how much the Azeroth appears to LOVE my Strawberry Milkshake, I don't even want to tell you how much I have gone through in 7 days...'Thirsty' does not even come close to cutting it....

yeDs6AK.gif

Think Ammit Dual....plus 50% ...thankfully it has a much bigger tank.

So...7 days, and I'm still alive, no mods have been destroyed, no liquid has been lost and the only thing that suffered any kind of loss is my Triphobia, maybe this is what I needed to finally debunk this ridiculous superstition of mine, Maybe in future I should seek out things that come in threes to finally rid myself of this burden...

SQeZSdJ.gif

Just a thought...

Like I mentioned earlier in true CoilArt fashion the package you get with the Azeroth is comprehensive, you even get an alternative Velocity style deck should you be overwhelmed by the triple coil rig, something I almost went with given my present affliction, Fortune favours the brave as they say, you also get a different delrin screw on top hat which takes 510's if you don't fancy the stainless affair, all the usual spares...and a vape band..

euKJ22r.jpg

If you're company is called CoilArt...PUT SOME FUCKING COILS IN!....all you're doing is earning yourselves a con, a black mark in an otherwise perfect kit....such a let down...

gL45n6T.gif

So here we are again face to face with my second fear.....Specphobia....it's a word...the struggle is real..

(Shudders)

My final thoughts on the latest contender by CoilArt would be that this is one hell of an RTA, It ticks every box from amazing flavour production to impressive clouds, the triple airflow is on point, the triple coil deck is surprisingly easy to nail and thus far...it's completely leak free. It looks good, the build quality is flawless and it works perfectly, would I say it's the tank of the year?....well...the flavour is only very marginally off the Ammit dual and Kylin but I think with the right build in there it could even surpass that.

To put it simply, I would recommend this tank to anyone.

HOKFOuL.jpg

And things only get better when I bring up the price.

At time of writing the CoilArt Azeroth RTA can be bought for around £20.....£20!....that's cheaper than both the Ammit and the Kylin, just follow the link below...

CoilArt Azeroth RTA - Discounted Price

And that's that, I'm off to the shop to buy three lottery tickets, However...I still don't fancy taking the short cut across the park...

If you want to see how the Azeroth scored against other impressive pieces of vapeology then please feel free to hop on over to Steampugs

Until next time

Must fly!

Great review! I am really liking this tank. A word to the wise though, the third time I cleaned it, the resistance would jump all over the place. I put a new build in, it was even worse.

Forget about TC, it wouldn't fire in Watts mode. I was a little embarrassed when I discovered what the the hole drilled through the solid center pin was for. It is to put a tiny screwdriver through, so that you can tighten it. I checked the dual deck, (which I haven't tried yet), and the dual deck pin was loose too.

Problem solved.

I tried the dual deck. Very nice, but I'm sticking with the triple.

One thing I really appreciate about this tank, is how few parts there are to clean. I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to clean attys, and clean/re-wick almost daily. This one is really easy to maintain.

Great review! Didn't really care about the tank, just popped in to see what it's about and stuck around for the entertainment.

You also did one of the best jobs (if not the best) with the pics I've seen in a review. Not just sharp and close but with art & style in the lighting and what not.

Oh, and now that I read through the review, the tank has me interested... :vapemail:
