RBAs with a Vamo V5 VV/VW?

Hi everyone. Even though I've been vaping for a few years, I've always been a vape and go kinda guy, and it's only recently that I've started to get a little more into this hobby, making my own juice etc. But on hardware side of things there are still areas where I'm a bit clueless. For instance, RBAs. I'm curious to pick a few up, but I want to make sure I can use them without issue with my Vamo V5 VV/VW. Is there a particular type of hardware with which RBAs should be used (mechanicals, high wattage mods, or...), or can I use any old RBA with my Vamo V5 VV/VW?

Thanks greatly for sharing your insight!

If im not mistaken the V5 goes to 15w, so if it does, you should be able to use the RBA's as long as you stay at 1.00 to 3.00 ohms on the coils you build

Awesome, thanks for the information! Yes, the V5 goes up to 15w. I have some research to do on my own, but just so I have a general sense of things, could you tell me what factors go into determining the omh level of the coils one would build? Is it a matter of the gauge of the wire? the number of loops used? or...?

Thanks again!

Awesome! That's perfect, thanks for sharing that link. Here's another link I found on this forum, seems to give a good overview:

Anyways, thanks again for the info, and best of luck in your own RBA adventures. :)

Oh, and any particular RBAs that have especially caught your eye? And, from the research you've done, have you decided upon a certain wicking material?

You can definitely run a RBA on your Vamo...BUT, you can't use a coil that is <1.5 ohms, the Vamo won't fire. I have a Kayfun lite+ and a Kayfun 3.1, both on V5 and both at 1.8 ohm builds (28 g, 3/32, 11 wraps) and I use regular store bought organic cotton.
