Just as the title says I'm looking for a good cherry flavor. I'm not big on candy fruit flavors. However any suggestions for a black cherry and a tart cherry flavor would be appreciated!

fa black cherry and flavorah black cherry are both good. Very strong, both of them. Niether is tart. Inawera "Cherries" flavor is a bit tart and spicy, and I gather that INW Wisnia cherry is even more tart/spicy, though I haven't tried that last one.

I haven't tried the Flavorah, but I agree with everything else. Sometimes a combo of cherries works great.

Second that on cherry combos! As always, I guess it depends on what you're going for, though. fa black cherry is great on its own with fa cola (I think there's a HIC recipe with percentages around) and the regular fa cherry works well on its own in some snacky-food fruit blends.

My personal favorite cherry is TFA Cherry Extract. Not too tart, not too sweet; neither medicinal nor maraschino... it's just right.

Thanks for the info! Typically I'm going for bakery and true flavors. So if I was going to try and make up a cherry pie for example I would want the filling to be more like a homemade filling rather than the over sweetened canned stuff. I'm also interested in mixing up a cherry limeade style flavor. With summer coming up, hopefully sooner rather than later, I'm going to start putting most of my creamy mixes aside for a while and try concentrating on more fruity and refreshing style vapes.

Mama J's Flavor Shop has a really, really good Cherry Limeade concentrated flavoring.

They also make an excellent Cherry Pie flavor - easy peasy, X% from the bottle into your nic/PG/VG base and you're done.

@Daintainee @caddisfly where is our thread with the three cherry pies? As usual I can't find anything I"m searching for, but here are some of the recipes from it I've scrounged from my notes:

(Daintainee, darn it I can't find yours in my notes! Please add it if you wish.)

All these are "real" cherry pie-ish:

caddisfly's Cherry Pie (#201e)

3% Black Cherry
1% Cherry
1% Cookie
0.5% Apple Pie
0.5% Vienna Cream
0.25% Meringue
0.25% Almond
0.25% Vanilla Classic
0.25% Orange

caddisfy's Original Cherry Pie

3.0% Black Cherry
2.0% Vienna Cream
1.0% Cookie
1% Cherry
1.0% Meringue
0.5% Apple Pie

lirruping's Cherry Pie (used Hic's Lemon Meringue Pie for reference on the pie base)

2.0% Black Cherry
1.0% Vienna Cream
0.66% Cookie
2% INW Cherries
0.5% Meringue
0.66% Apple Pie
1.5% Custard
0.66% Fresh Cream
0.5% Pear
0.5% Lemon Sicily

Just a note on the above recipes. All flavors were FA unless otherwise noted. We all three came up with very passable cherry pies.

I agree!! Last time I looked over there, I didn't see it listed anymore :(

Uh-oh. Because I still have a bit of a gift certificate for mamaj's left and I was really looking forward to that particular Cherry Pie. It grew on me in a major way, then I ran out :/

Surely he'd whip you up a batch. We should let him know we demand that one back. I really enjoyed it, too. I sent some to nabibrian and he flipped for it. Said it changed his opinion of cherry vapes. It did the same for me, as did the Limeade.

Anyone know the steep time on these cherry pies?

I don't believe any of them needed steep time. I know mine didn't.

I guess Im WIERD, I LOVE tart cherry. Like Jolly Ranchers or Sweetarts. I also LOVE Luden cherry cough drops.

Made myself so sick a year or so ago trying to replicate menthol cherry cough drops.. Could not touch cherry anything till a month ago. I went with FAprentice reg cherry at 2% with some menthol/mint/horehound/ spearmint, now Im in heaven. Sometimes I will throw in some FA mojito , just a drop for a citrus touch or through in some pineapple.

I mix my liquids all the time....

I'm sure you're super weird, but that horehound-cherry-mint combo does sound good... :)

I'm the same way. I love me some cherry candy flavor. I love your idea of a cool cherry flavor. I want to try make this.

If you come up with something good, let us know.

I am trying to finish the cherry I have ( Flav Aprntice) and want to try a couple of the Inawera. There are a couple that say tart on the description, so that sounds interesting. Id like something like Jolly Rancher classic cherry and the Ludens Cherry cough drops.
