New setup in the Velocity...Not as clean as I wanted to do it but I only had 10 minutes from start to finish before I had to get my daughter from school.

We are the leaders. What We do will set the standard. Air, land, sea, has been done. We decide what is to become. We have the power to stop the deathly habit of smoking. I for one am proud to be a part of it.

I say something positive. If that's your thoughts, cool with me. I don't know anything about a Probe 300. I had a Ford Probe once. Nice car.

Obviously I was just kidding with the above post, but it's interesting that you mentioned mesh. I was just looking at some today (online). I think it was SS. I was wondering (seriously) if it can be coiled in some way, or at least installed, and used wickless? Maybe rolled up and formed into a stovetop coil or something.

If one post is isolated as ground, the other post is positive, it don't matter as long as it makes a circuit with a switch.

I was strongly considering some SS just the other day... I think it'd be cool inside a decored Clapton...

I have tryed it. Cant hold enough juice to make it a viable medium alone.

I will use 3mm rolled up & coat the outside be "coating" the outside of it with cotton by gently rubbing the mesh against the cotton, to form a coating. (thanks Rip) works well. Flavor is great. But drys out faster than it wicks. No chain Vaping.

Oh god no, I meant wick it as usual, just using the mesh as a core

I have doubled up .28 Kanthal wrapped .5 rope wick around it like the handrail on a ship And used it in drippers. Gets about two more hits than cotton, but is not worth making for the use it provides.

I just started on this side of vaping a few days ago. No questions; just a few observations.

--I'm ashamed I never straightened any of my wire before today. You may also verbally glare at me for not having an ohm meter... It's on the way.
--Double-strand twisted 32-gauge Kanthal is a baby step, but I immediately starting using it to rebuild Protank attys. Way better.
--Took the 32-gauge Kanthal and twisted 3 strands, all the way up to 6 strands. I will find a use for all those beauties later. (I have an RDA.)
--Failed on braiding. I had seen a couple videos on The YouTubes, but only enough to grasp the concept, not learn the finer details. I'm guessing braiding with twisted wire would be easier.
--Actually, it seems like everything would be easier with twisted wire. I've barely scratched the surface and am already pleased.

Claptoning twisted wire and then helixing it is also nice

I have at least 100 feet of 32 gauge left. Just wrapped a 6-thread twisted with some 2-thread twisted. Easier than I thought, but doesn't look very Clapton-y.

It will turn out fine as long as your outer wire is thinner then your cores....

Revisited a classic for this build in the Noxus. 26/36g twisted claptons w two 32/40g claptons helixed into the grooves.
How do you like the Noxus? Ive been looking at a black one for a good while just havent really thought of getting one until seeing your build in it...Nice work as always

Definitely my fav series build so far. The coils soak up almost 4 drops of juice each without any wicking. It makes them perfect for vaping in series, i can take a nice sized pull and get great flavor without worrying about the wick keeping up with the coil. This was a problem for me using round wire builds in series. Been vaping this build for two days and i'm very pleased with performance :p

Thanks!! It's not bad, especially for the price. It takes the air in underneath, so it doesn't sit flush-which makes my ocd a little crazy haha. But it is built well, and the magnetic cover is a lot of fun. I will probably post a review after i have a little more time with it. It also has no airflow adjustment, so there's also that to consider. It does look pretty cool on my mech box, if you can forgive the gap for the airflow. I'll post a picture when i get home so you can see what i mean. Its a good atty though, especially for the price

I finally made enough Alien Wire to make a sub standard coil to try out...Instead of the normal routine I made it a Fused Clapton instead of a 3 Core....
22g/30g Alien Fused Clapton....
20151130_101225.jpg 20151130_101218.jpg

And for my Entry to @CrazyChef ....Ill be making more wires with some inspiration from your recent builds..
Something a threw together to make myself feel better since Ive been neglecting Coil Bulding lately....

All respect included... A "TEXTBOOK ALIEN" doesn't exist unless fucking quantum physics is your bathroom literature... Sick build dude.

Speaking of quantum physics... Have you tried working with 50g (or higher) wire yet? That shit is like working with quantum physics. You're never quite sure where it is, but you know where it's supposed to be and go from there. If things go according to the theory then you were right. If not, then start over. Just like friggin' QP.
