I have a 1000ft -/+ of each wire under 32g but I recently started using more wires above 32g and Im realizing that 100/250ft rools dont even last a day or two so Ill be stocking atleast 1000ft of each and hopefully Ill find somewhere else besides Twistedmesses.com to buy 50g...they are wayyyyy out of line with their pricing on that site. Thanks for the tip though Ill try it with 22g/30g and see what happens.

Update on that Stapled Helix I built earlier, DO NOT use flattened wire as a alternative to ribbon, it doesnt react the same when bending and it is almost impossible to force it to bend into a coil and hold its edge and shape. I ruined almost the whole 3ft of wire I made and still didnt end up with a single coil.
Idk if they have 50g, but i get all my wire fron lightning vapes, best prices

Hehe, so... Tried to wrap the stitched alien today, but all I had was 32 and 34 gauge turned out to be too thick. So it basically wrapped like an alien when you apply too much pressure, but it looked cool so I made a coil out of it anyway.

Worst vape I've had

So I staged an old imperfect alien I had. For a good quick build.

One if the best vapes I've ever had

Really suggest this one, it has the best balance in vapor production and flavor imo. Soooo good!

I noticed today that there are like 13K views on this thread. I am so excited to see that. I love that so many folks have added to this conversation.

I have found so much enjoyment in making coils for folks. The harder the better. I love seeing their face when i take the gear they have been using and help them discover what they CAN have in a vape experience when all the right things line up. They get wide eyed and say WHOA!!!

Build for my Goblin Mini! The only part is not having alot of workroom for decent sized coils...I almost got a 30g/46g Fused Claptons to fit but it would have touched the barrel of the chimney...So heres what I got for now, 26g/36g Streched Claptons. Decent vape @ 30w-50w for sure!

Ill post my new build in the RBA, that fused clapton kept getting hot spot after it got wicked and went through cotton quickly. The new build is a 26g/34g clapton 8 wrap (1.35 Ohms) and its perfect at 55w. 1.0+ is way high for me but its a warm vape and produces AMAZING flavor. I was checking out the T%F-R2 and TF-RCA rba's, still cant decide on which I want....
I bought a Crimson Snow Wolf tonight, I am extremely excited for its arrival!!

Yea the only difference i heard for the RBAs for the TFV4s are one is for singles an the others are for duals, even the RCA, they said its just a dual setup, maybe more room? I just have the single setup which is fine, i havent even use the quad coil that comes with it, i used the trip which ate juice so i know thw quad will too, thats why i like the single RBA, i get good flavor and save a good amount of juice @raymo2u and i heard the snow wolf is amazing

Ive made a couple good alien builds, but ive been trying to perfect them lately, and it seems you have to get it all in one go, if you stop or backtrack, it messes up the whole thing, anybody else?

The single rba airflow is tight, I wanted a looser draw and more room. The dual rba's look to have a better method of trapping the wire also. The reason Im now looking into it is my Quad head is dead and the triple head got a dry hit the first draw....I soaked both heads in a container of juice for 45 minutes then tried them both, Im guessing it has a hot spot...I may try a go at rebuilding the quad but in the mean time Im still deciding at which RBA. I think Im going to go with the TF-R2...since it has more airflow and the post setup isnt a gimmick like on the RCA rba.

If you can fit 2 Wires on each side of each screw and it have more airflow then Fused Claptons/Aliens and other coils would be much easier to put on it, plus the Layout seems to be much easier the the TF-R1 that Im using now. I found a bunch of them on Ebay for less then 10 shipped so I think Ill order one tonight.

What Ive been using in my TVF4 TF-R1 RBA since yesterday after the Fused Clapton just kept eating cotton...This is the highest resistance build I've used in almost 6 months and I'm glad I used it instead of rebuilding it. I slowly stepped up from 20w and kept going up to 65w and it still wasn't hot and had not the slightest hint of any dryness in the cotton(with chain vaping).
26g/34g Clapton 8 wrap (1.40 Ohms)
20151112_083457.jpg 20151112_083519.jpg
MY friends that vape thought it was insane that it competes with my other low builds for vapor production but the flavor is incredibly strong. The only part I dislike is the draw time, I prefer 3-4 second pulls and I feel the need to draw almost 6-7 seconds on this for satisfaction.

Definitely can't back it off if you mess up. Doing that will distort the alien clapton and that part of the wire is unusable. You can stop, but you just have to be really careful that you don't stretch the alien clapton, or distort it. Again if you do that part is junk.

Not necessarily, but it is easier if you just get the angle and pressure right and go FAST! For me anyway

Sometimes if the core wires bunch up on me, I'll put some masking tape in front of the bunching to realign the cores and then continue from there.

Kinda like this:

Well today I had a hankerin' to try out something Ive wanted to do for awhile after seeing the Stapled builds. I thought of something that is small in size and has the properties of a Fused Clapton and Framing. I used 4 x 26g for the core and Flattened 24g for the Framing. I Claptoned it afterwards with 32g. This is a very difficult build, only due to the core wires and the Flattened wire not wanting to hold together while being claptoned. I used my trick for Staple builds, 2 Dimes sandwiching the wire and tape them with electric tape. I slid the dimes down as I went but had to keep them almost an inch from where I was wrapping wire. I got almost 2.5ft of good wire and used a hammer to flatten the 32g

Nice! But nah not wickless, but its gonna have a ton of juice channels, like the coil itself will be a wick, if it works out how im thinking it will, it should hold a couple mls of juice by itself, then with it being wicked, JUICE CITY!! Lol

Decided to try another stitched alien. I'm really happy with the way the wire came out. The coils - not so much. i couldn't get them to lay flat as I wrapped them. They're 30K cores with 40N Clapton and stitch. Then I tried to give them some color. There are no computer enhancements on the coil coloring. Just heat and sunlight.

When wrapping the coils for anything other than a standard macro build I always use a set of nylon pliers. Hold the wire to your bit and start the first wrap manually, after that grab with the players and turn it while you wrap and it will wrap perfectly. Might take some tweaking and some pressure but it works, nice build by the way

If you make that wire again and are worried about it laying flat use a hammer and slowly go over the whole wire tapping it, that way it flattens out enough to lay flat and it usually adds to the look of the wire, not to mention makes a great contact surface for the wick.

Or just use a really smooth hammer, I guess. Heck, anything relatively heavy with a really smooth flat bottom will work.

Not if you go lightly....If you look back on some of my flattened builds they have had 36g/38g/40g/46g when being flattened. You dont want to slam on the wire but just enough to make the very top and bottom layer have a flat shiny surface....Figaro jewelry is a good example of what your trying for...

I use the Hammer in the right of the pic and use that big ass wrench to hammer on...

So my wire came in today and I decided I would try make the smallest Fused Claptons Ive ever tried so I could fit them in the TF-R2 RBA without hassle, they are smaller then the Fused Clapton I made yesterday.
Here is the the steps Ive taken going smaller and smaller for the wire....The wire to the lower left is 24g and 26g above it, to show the comparison on how small these damn things are...I accidentally dropped the wire after wrapping them with the swivels and I had a hard time finding the wire-and it landed in my fucking lap!

started on one last night, I need one of you guys to perfect it though. Take 26 ga and Clapton with 36 ga. Do this to a piece about 18 long. Now cut a 6 inch length of the wire and clip it off. Decore that wire as you would with an alien, now cut the other 12 inch Clapton into two 6" pieces. Put them in the drill Chuck parallel and take your decored Clapton and wrap it around the two paralleled Clapton's. It gives an alien appearance but I didn't have swivels to keep my wires held correctly. If you guys have time try it out and let me know how it works. I will continue to try it today.
Good thing about working weekends I have week days off.

So I got the Velocity and Im impressed with what I can fit in it, you guys were right....I built this coil just for it but I didnt make enough Micro Clapton to make enough for a second coil, later found out the Velocity isnt a Single Coil Deck, but it still vapes great! Im really glad I bought one (Tobecco Clone for $8 shipped)
Fused Clapton-22g Core and Claptoned with 32g and 34g/42g Clapton. 4 Wraps @ .16 Ohms and its a Amazing vape @ 125w....Ill make the second coil tomorrow...
