Hey guys. SMOK was, in my mind, the first vape company to exploit the pod mod design concept. Now, they inject fresh blood into this concept with the coming SMOK RPM80 Kit. Here are more details about it.
SMOK RPM80 Pod Mod Kit can be regarded as the upgraded version to the RPM40. Powered by a single 18650 battery, it can fire up to 80W and allows for a longer vaping time than the original RPM40. Charging is also done via a 5V/2A micro USB port, but this time the port is placed below the control panel. Speaking of the control panel, it is very similar to the one on RPM40, from top to bottom you can see a square fire button, a TFC display screen, and two adjustment buttons. Currently, there is no clear data about RPM80's safety features, but I think they won't be less than the RPM40 anyway.
As for the pods, they are also available in two versions this time, including the RPM Pod and the RGC Pod. Both versions have a capacity of 5ml, but it's not clear now where to refill. From a structural point of view, I think they are very likely to be refilled from the top. Coil options for the two versions are different, paired with the RPM Pod is a 0.4ohm RPM Mesh Coil while inside the RPM Pod is a 0.17ohm RGC Conical Mesh Coil, both of them are replaceable, making the pods more cost-effective. Moreover, the airflow of the RGC Pod appears to be adjustable, as there it features a simple airflow adjustment component. Anyway, you won't go wrong with the RPM80!
