Suorin Drop Overheating while Charging

The title says it all. My Suorin drop recently started getting hot while charging. Just now, it was noticeably too hot to even touch.

My question is - is this a battery safety issue? Did I overcharge it? Should I spend the 20$ and buy a new pod?

When it comes to heat issues like this, I never like to hope for the best or recommend trying it out to see if it was a one off thing. I would bring the device, along with the original packaging to the place you purchased that from to see if they will honor your warranty. If they don't, see if the manufacturer can help. I wish I could be of more help, but I just don't want you getting hurt.
