Tank keeps heating up

i currently have a gx350 and every time I hit it about 3-6 times the tank starts to heat up. The batteries that I have in it are lg hg2 and my watts are at 170. Does anyone know why or how to fix it or if I need better batteries.

What tank are you using?

How does the mod itself feel?

170 watts is fairly high and likely to make any attie heat up

That is very likely just how it will run at that high of wattage

Pretty much anything over 150 Watts will turn any attie into a scorcher

No matter how you slice it, you do need to run proper batteries (true 20 amp) in the mod.

Authentics only, like the Sony VCT5.

What are you using?

That should be more than adequate

Unless the batteries and mod are overheating, you should be safe

Why do you keep the wattage so high?

Let's see your heating a coil to at least 400f or so....... to convert fluid to vapor...... then get surprised when the surrounding metal gets hot.......

Ever cooked something in a pan? Does just the food OR just the pan get hot?

Pretty normal for your tank to heat up like that @170 watts. The juice will also heat up inside the tank because you're pushing it so hard. Only way to keep it cool is either go temp control or power down some

Get one of those faux water cooled CPU mods.

As stated above, 170W creates heat. That's just how it is.

Edit:Nvm previous post. 4 batt mod. D'oh.
