    Good morning ya'll.

'On awakening let us think about the twenty-four hours ahead. We consider our plans for the day. Before we begin, we ask God to direct our thinking, especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives. Under these conditions we can employ our mental faculties with assurance for after all God gave us brains to use. Or thought-life will be placed on a much higher plane when our thinking is cleared of wrong motives.'

I meant to post here on the 14th for my own sobriety b-day, and on the 21st, about my husband's....

We both celebrated 25yrs of sobriety. To say that our lives have improved in those 25yrs would be the most egregious understatement. It wasn't easy, and some of those years seemed to last 25 yrs all by themselves. :D But here we are, with a nice home of our own, a gorgeous 2016 Silverado, and a couple other anniversaries -- 30 yr wedding anniversary on July 20, and my 3yr no-smoke-a-versary on July 25.

One day at a time. It works if you work it. :)

I've only just seen this, & it's nice to see a community supporting each other :)

I am currently on methadone after being addicted to heroine for ten years, it's hard to admit when you have an addiction.
I was in denial and thought being like that was normal but after several months of sweating, puking an hallucinating my thoughts feel like they did when I was a kid. I urge anyone who is struggling to shout out before its too late.
The shit going around at the moment as killed 4 of my friends.

ALSO... @AndriaD sorry for being a dick in that thread, I go in bad moods with my bipolar. I have apologised to whisky so thought I must say sorry to you. You were both the first people I spoke to on here & I need to stop being a dick to good people.
Also congrats on the sobriety and your anniversary :)
