im done for now alteast i might try it again in the future but its just screwing with me now after doing it for 8 months and i dont have the money nor interest in putting in any effort to try different vg/pg lvls nicotine lvls and different mod settings. im probly going back to smoking cigarettes which i havent been doing the past 3 weeks since i got my newest kit which was the smok qbox at the start of october but at the same time as it being a gift its a curse, it just started 3-4 days ago not consistently every day but today and tuesday ive had kind of a hard time breathing/asborbing oxygen like i feel like im taking a deep breath but my lungs dont feel satisfied and this happens at random times after taking a round of a few puffs but normally i take hundreds of puffs most days like up to 300. My point is that nothing like this had ever happened wen i was smoking 15-20 cigarettes per day for 2 years and like half a pack per per day for most of the 1st year overall i smoked for 3 years and cigarettes are supposed to be worse for you than vaping but in my case i beg to differ. i also think since i started vaping these blister like bumps have appeared in my throat mainly on my tonsils some large some small i included a picture of this incase your interested i also know this was since i started vaping im not trying to put vaping down because honestly i like it more than smoking cigarettes no ashes my fingers arent yellow my teeth seem whiter but it just doesnt work for me right now so im likely gonna take a break go back to smoking cigarettes for now and try it again in the future especially since i still have 240-280mls of 6mg liquid and 9 unused coils and my vape has only been out of box for a little over a month

    Ohh Well enjoy your cigarettes.
Most of us will still be here vapin when you come back.

    Vaping is not for everyone.
Seems like everyone can kill them selves with smoking.
so much less trouble than vaping.

Sorry to hear this, but if you got a allergic reaction it is either from the PG or VG, and I hear you about being frustrated trying to figure which mix works for you.

When you realize smoking will kill you eventually or cause more serious life threatening problems then the one you described when vaping we will be here for you to help.

I get allergic reactions from something in most commercial ejuice. And it is NOT PG or VG. It is in the flavorings. although with over 60% VG I start hacking up VG but no other reaction.
I toss over 1/2 of the flavorings I try because of this. I get severe mouth, throat and lung irritation. I vape either 50/50 or 60/40 PG/VG.
I started DIY less than 2 months after starting vaping. Been 100% DIY for over 2.5 years. Would have gone back to cigs if not for a cheap gas station tobacco ejuice that kept me vapin.

Why I say that vaping is not for everyone or at least some of us have to work hard to make it work for us.

btw not found a lemon flavoring I could tolerate.

So your saying only some flavorings work for you without any irritation. I know a vaper who has been vaping 9 years and only uses nic, and VG, no flavorings at all ever. His reasons are does not want to inhale dyes in the flavorings he says.

Yep I am saying that. I am allergic to some ingredient/s in many/most flavorings.
I am not concerned with the dyes or diketones, etc.
Whatever it is causes me BAD allergic reactions which takes days to pass.
I have learned the early warning signs of tingly lips after less than 1 ml of vape and then toss that flavoring.

I can vape CAP Vanilla Custard V1 and Vanilla Whipped Cream and several others mostly cap or FW and some FA.
virtually no Inawera or TFA that I have tried will work for me.
Also the all natural extract flavors work.
It is some artificial ingredient/s, maybe sweeteners? All artificial sweeteners taste horrible to me. I use Luquid Nu Stevia sweetener.

I feel that I must be an extreme minority vaper.
Virtually no one will even acknowledge that this situation exists with some of us.

Hey everyone's body reacts different to certain foods, etc. I break out with a skin rash with certain breeds of dogs, and I have two with no issues.

Yep but allergic reactions to ejuice ingredients gets NO airtime.

Ever seen any hypo allergenic ejuice?

    I make it.

if the industry is aware that it exists they will not admit it.
More ammo for ANTZ. And somewhat valid in this case.

Like I said I need a break I'll try again in the future most likely

Try a different juice the next time around. Maybe a tobacco or custard?
You may have similar reactions to most commercial ejuice as I do.

Idk if im allergic or what it is but I didn't like this one flavor it's batch by cand-e king that's what it started with I felt like the way it tasted seemed like it was made with ingredients that that don't belong in my lungs anymore than cigarette smoke does it was supposed to be sour patch kids flavored but it was more like acidic citrus flavored but maybe it's not my current liquid that's causing this but that I used this liquid the day before I started with the current liquid I was using which is pink punch lemonade by lemontwist and this liquid didn't cause any problems for me the first time I went through 120 ml of it maybe this lemon liquid was just bringing out the effects of the sour patch kids flavor because it wasn't fully processed by my body or something

Could just be a reaction to citrus & what ever sour they’re using. Citrus can be rough for people just starting. Personally I’d try something high vg & bakery/tobacco before I’d give up. Those are a smoother for some people

It's 70vg/30pg 6mg the lemon wasn't bad and it's a citrus but the sour patch kids is a different story I mean my friend gave me some vanilla, a cereal flavor and some other kind not sure what it was and can't remember what it tasted like but I feel like I thought it tasted like coffee so maybe I could try that in like a week or so

So don’t vape it then? DIY is probably the best way to go about it IMO as you get fine control what goes into it and you can figure out what you can or can’t vape.

Hype juice is almost entirely based on hype & not much else other than a assload of sugar. Ejuice is always a crap shoot when buying it by the bottle

Also DIY save you a bunch of money (outside of initial costs). Holiday sales are coming up. Easy to do

I have no idea how to go about doing that tho so I'd have to look into it but Id also hate to waste 35-40$ of liquid 3 60 ml bottles being unopened probly unable to get a refund even tho it's still in out of the manufacturing shop condition

Personally, I can't vape high VG. Anything over 60vg and I get a heavy feeling in my chest.
I also know several vapers that can't handle acidic or citrus.
Being new to it, I would suggest like the others and stick to tobacco juices. You may want to try a NET juice.

That’s one of the downfalls of the vaping industry for people just getting into it. Way too many ejuices that it overloads people on options & typically a store that doesn’t know how to walk someone through picking stuff out. Everyone goes through the first months of buying a lot of crap that in retrospect isn’t much good. Best option is sampler packs.

As for diy, as long as you stick with known & liked recipes, it’s pretty easy to get into as long as you start off with simple 2-3 flavor recipes and mix by weight. Though I’m not the biggest fan of his recipes, DIY or Die does a lot of great newbie videos in how to start. If you can mix a drink, you can mix ejuice (and frankly it’s easier IMO).

Strawberry juices give me the most problems. Vast majority of the recipes I’ve tried are like vaping vomit.

One other thing I've noticed when it happened is it's between 6pm and 10 or within a few hours of it getting dark usually if it goes on past then it's cause the effects haven't really started to subside so idk if it's anything to do with it starting to get colder or what but maybe I should just try vaping freely during the day and restrict me puffing it often at night to the bare minimum and seeing how it goes

What is a net juice? Never heard of it I've only got a month of experience buying online and there's way more variety than there is at the store down the street from my house which has 1 standard brand with no acidic or citric flavors

Another thing I've noticed is my nasal passage at night becomes severely inflamed I read blowing vapor out your nose wether on purpose or accidentally cause you don't realize it which is me can do this maybe the same is happening in my lungs from the nicotine level or acidity which I think would be the most logical conclusion for me since only my airways are giving me a problem and swelling but not my face or body so it's likely not an allergic reaction I forgot to mention the inflammation gets so bad that I get nose bleeds

I am in the same boat as bird Anything over 50% VG I get a heavy chest feeling. 31 to 50% VG I find I generate a lot of phlegm. So 30% is my sweet spot.
I also have some problems with certain flavors. Even taking 1 pull off an eliquid with either Absinthe or Black Licorice Causes my stomach to start doing flip flops and rolling like crazy. And I feel very nauseous for quite awhile after.. The same with any banana flavoring although not quite as violent. Learned very quickly to stay away from those. So if you are not a Troll and really want to quit smoking and keep vaping then it is to your benefit to try and figure out what is causing your problems. But it is up to you to do your own research. For me it was well worth it to keep on vaping and not give it up for a few little problems.
If you are a Troll well then 2 words. Piss off.

    NET is naturally extracted tobacco.
They take PG and soak tobacco (usually from fine cigars) in it then strain out the tobacco and throw it away.
The tobacco's flavor stays in the PG then it is mixed with VG and nicotine.
All the flavoring comes from the tobacco and no other flavorings or additives are included.

If you google "naturally extracted tobacco e juice" you will find vendors selling it online.

I'm far from a troll before I said I don't want to put in the effort to figure out what works with me and what doesn't and by that I mainly mean I don't like the feeling I get when it happens cus I never know how Long it's going to affect me it's kinda like my lungs stop working like they aren't able to absorb all the oxygen I breathe in like When I take a deep breath my lungs just don't feel satisfied and like I said about my nose gets irritated to the point of where it's like a crevice That I can barely get air through and my nose bleeds it mainly happens on the inside outer part of my nose and it's kinda like one of those cartoon welts the way grows out cus it happens out of no where fast and gets to be basically the size of half a grape honestly it's kinda like a hemorrhoid in my nose that sounds like something that someone fuckin around would say but next time it happens if you still don't believe me I will get a fuckin picture to prove that I mean what I say and on top of all this I really am not in a position to go blowing money on all kinds of liquids right now to figure out what works and what doesn't and I just got 40$ worth of the lemon juice Monday and I've said a few times now I don't want to waste that but it might not be something I can use and I still have 3 factory sealed bottles and half a bottle of that and still got like 50-60ml of that sour patch kids liquid I was saying is when it started which I don't plan on using

I get the same. I also immediately get cold sores in my nostrils. And I'm talking about going from 60 to 65% vg it happens every time. That's some weird shit.

In all honesty, it sounds like a PG allergy. I mix for a guy who can't go over 10% PG in a juice as it causes a kind of anaphylactic reaction within his throat and mouth and he puffs up like a toad, blisters, the whole nine yards. He actually has to take daily medication to tolerate the PG in foods and beverages. Almost all juice flavorings are PG based, so when you pair that with the PG content in the base, it could mess you up if you're sensitive.

I don't really think it's that tho because I've always had 70/30 and this is a recent occurrence I'm thinking it's more of one of the sub ingredients for the flavoring of the sour patch kids one cause that's what it all started with and my face doesn't swell up it's just my nasal passage that becomes inflamed and my lungs get this uncomfortable feeling that they aren't working properly during this time like I can't absorb enough oxygen to be satisfied I

It's really tricky to try and guess with store bought juice as their ingredients aren't disclosed. Most use a massive amount of flavoring and sweeteners, and most use the cheapest ingredients possible. It could take a lot of hit and miss to narrow it down.
I hate that you're having so much trouble and can only imagine your frustration. I really wish I had a definite solution, I don't want to think of anyone going back to smoking. :(

Well as of this moment I'm smoking I need some time for my lungs to recover from whatever it is the sour patch kids liquid did probly going to put a 1/4th of a 21mg nicotine patch on before bed In a bit cus I don't need the whole thing so that way I wake up tommorow not interested in smoking or vaping cus smoking isn't going to help my situation

After about a week I'm going to try some of the sweeter flavors my friend gave me which is vanilla some sort of cereal flavor and I think one is coffee and see if it's just the acidic liquids that do it but if anything I'm probly going to get through my lemon juice and buy the NET liquid firebird was talking about since it's only VG/PG and tobacco extracted nicotine which they have a 10ml bottle for 5$ at the store near my house that I can see how it works for me maybe I'll try that a week from now I'll figure it out tho

Right now I'm able to puff the vape without the deep breath but dissatisfied lungs feeling so maybe it's just the environmental change from when it goes from day to night and not so much me and the liquid aren't compatible

Vaping can dehydrate, so make sure drinking enough fluids.

Another thing to try is nic salts, as commonly used in pod devices like the Juul. The lesser cloud seems not to cause unwanted effects, and the throat hit feels more like smoke. I don't use it all the time, but it has its place...... cravings, vape tongue, stealth situations, etc.

Well here it's about $60/carton for cigarettes, so my suggestion is either attempt DIY juice or go buy a carton. That's it. That's your choice.
    Now, go away.

I think I'm done with masturbation...
...medicating twice a day, it hasn't been easy.
...but I'm gonna stick to it. :)

From what I've seen I believe NY is the highest in the country and WA is right behind along with CA.

Marlboro's are $50 or a bit less here.
About $35 for decent cheap cigs.

If one buys all their juice and blows moderate or larger cloudz it can cost more to vape than smoke here.

However I did the maths the other day and 120 ml of my Hypo allergenic ADV juice costs me $1.45.
Wire and cotton for me is under $20/yr.

As far as consumables including batteries I am at around $150/yr.

When I was still smoking I used to get coupons from Marlboro all the time and you had to request them as laws stopped the from giving them without requesting. Cost was still around $9 a pack so was $63 a week for me. My DIY cost about the same as Crom for a 30ML so who cares?
