Thread delete option

Can someone check permissions and allow thread creators the right to delete threads they create?
It would be very helpful, then we wouldn't have to ask a mod or higher up to remove a post.

Why would you need to remove the post?

And that too, thanks CaFF! ;)

YW. :)

Hell, I nearly did that creating a tut on threading stubborn wick through coils.
My 2007-vintage CM Storm Spawn gaming mouse need a teardown again, methinks. I blame the cat. ;-)

Sometimes, some of us type before engaging the brain and then re-think our words 3 minutes later ---- Just saying

Also that. ;)

Right now, I'm typing this because I can't cancel the quick reply I hit....whaat?

Are you able to use the edit feature?

Yeah, but what happened was I meant to add his quote and my reply to my previous post.
In vB, you could quote someone, copy the code/text, cancel it, then edit the earlier post...

I do have the WYSIWYG editor turned off FWIW, I usually format stuff by hand. ;)

Once it's out in the webiverse you can't have it back, even if you liked it 1st.

You have a edit option which you can use instead of deleting the post. If want to quote but made a mistake it will still sow on the same thread as a reply to the quote anyway.

So what you're saying is once you hit any kind of Reply, you're stuck with it?

Even if you change your mind and don't want to post? That's odd...

Lmao Smiokie, now I wish I could have code rights.
I swore, 6 yrs ago, never to get back into coding.
I feel the need to, now. Gesh!

It's all good. The person did get the credit for the post, but on the other hand, it's high permissions like this that aggravate me.
We should have the ability to remove our own posts, when we feel it's needed.
I can understand not wanting a user to not remove, but at the same time.

I think I have over 5 gigs worth of vaping items.
I stopped counting my recipe collect when I hit 4k in files.

For me, it's pictures. I love taking photos of stuff like my cat, vaping stuff, foodie pics, you name it.

I have no idea how many i have anymore. They are on Imgur, other hosts, my own site, other sites I have, FTP servers, , on various drives, CD-R, DVD-R...ad nauseum.

Guess you will have to hit up a moderator if you have a huge error with your post to fix, because I do not see any options at the moment may have to find a plugin for this.

Yeah, it's a new software for me, even if it is a fork of VB. It's quite different. Almost IPB-like.

'Tis all good. =)

Or unless the db expires, or someone can delete a thread.
Still, it would be nice to see we can delete our own threads if we need to.

Why I'd like the delete option, or at LEAST the ability to edit my title after I've posted:

* when I accidentally post in the wrong subforum

* when I have a typo in the title

* when I realize too late I've already posted the same thing earlier

I've run into those two issues, oh, 6 times in the past week.
