UK moving forward, US what direction?

UK has been making all the positive steps toward the Vaping Industry lately. It is good to note that The British public health officials are encouraging the eight million British smokers to switch to E-cigs from cigarette. British smokers urged to start vaping by health officials - Telegraph

Also based on Public Health England, E-Cigarettes are "Around 95% Less Harmful" Than Regular Smoking. Government body says vaping can make ‘significant contribution to endgame of tobacco. Vaping: e-cigarettes safer than smoking, says Public Health England | Society | The Guardian

Meanwhile in the US scene, the State Senate panel approves package of six anti-tobacco bills. This includes the measures raising the smoking age to 21 and barring the use of electronic cigarettes in public places such as restaurants where smoking is banned. Also, proposal of the measure that would designate e-cigarettes or vaping devices as tobacco products that will be subject to the same restrictions on public use as traditional, combustible cigarettes. The US may be away from what currently UK is heading towards. Your thoughts?

The U.S. , 200 years of tradition , unhampered with progress . Progress is highly overrated , so many think !
