Given that, I wouldn't retrofit a mosfet. Not that I actually plan to buy one.
And not your typical nod to steampunk. Major fantasy. This guy's like the Jules Verne of retro mods. Serious props!

@franciscan No not until sometime this week. His cnc broke. He had to order a piece for it to fix it. It should be here monday. Forgot to message you about it i was over there last night playing video games.

Sort of a mouse among these nicer mods but this is my forst box build using supplies i found off ebay..cost me about 7 dollars to build one box having purchased in small bulk for everything...Single 14500 power..as simple as one can get i imagine..lol

I have been working on a Hammond 1550p squanker. I dont think it would have been to bad if I had went with unregulated, but I had to try for a DNA 30 on my first squanker build. Going to try to get the box painted today and might have it completed next week.

I would have to use a end mill bit in a big drill press
Plans might have changed, the young guys in the local vape groups, offered me $50 after I put out a feeler trade request for it. Depending on what it looks like I might just do a quick flip on it Picked up 2 squonk boxes on trade this weekend soooooo...
I use a bench mounted drill with a cross slide vise to mill the window and opening on the box I'm working on. Its not as percise as a mill but I got both on sale with 25% off coupons so I have around 150 in the setup. You can see the pics of my box in the link from post #126.

Yes it is very nice, but out of my price range....
Go to Ebay and type in box mod in the search bar there.
You can find about anything you are looking for. But wood mods (quality mods) are lacking.

Yea I was checking eBay out. There are some nice pieces on there.
I have a second box on the way now. I have ordered three there now. There are some sellers there with very reasonable prices.
I also ordered a few DOVPO boxes from Fast tech.
Smaug is the next box I am likely to buy. Regulated 150 box.

Very nice sir. I am sending someone your way via PM who wants to start making his own box mods and would like some advice. You are MUCH more familiar with the process than I. The gentleman's name is @ConcreteBob btw....good people he is.
