Introduction
Here we have the latest offering from Vandyvape, the third version of the Pyro RDTA. If a certain product is released that's met favourably the name can be milked with version after version but actually i have no issue with this as long as the product is improved with each release. I reviewed the original Pyro and liked it to the point that because i didn't receive version 2 to review i bought it and here we have V3 and each version has seen an improvement of which was already a very good RDTA. In fact i am really pleased to see this release as not enough RDTA's in my opinion are released compared to other options and since the introduction of including BF pins they have been given a whole new life of their own. The Pyro V3 offers a two part airflow system which is completed when the top-cap is placed in position offering adjustable honeycomb side and bottom airflow which is always lined up. The deck allows for an easy dual or single build and it has much larger wicking ports than is usually the case with RDTA's. We have 2 fill ports on the base of the deck which get sealed when the top-cap is put in place and if using the BF pin we have possibly the best system yet when using a BF pin with an RDTA, the Pyro V3 is well worth of a good look!

Aesthetics
The Pyro V3 RDTA comes in cardboard packaging with viewing window which revealed i had received the Frosted Grey version, the colour options are, Stainless Steel, Matte Black, Rainbow, Gun metal, Gold, Blue and Frosted Grey. Up top we have a rather nice Resin wide bore 810 drip tip which is a Goon fitting so will please most giving them the option of fitting their own. The top-cap(sleeve) has a castle effect design towards the top purely for aesthetic purpose and also is in keeping with previous versions, we then have dual honeycomb airflow in the shape of the letter "T" much the same as what is on the Drop RDA. On one side of the sleeve we have "PYRO" carved into the metal on the vertical and the sleeve also steps to the drip tip. Underneath the top-cap(sleeve) we have the narrow glass section followed by the flat base. The base has an o-ring mid diameter for sealing when squonking and we have all the usual printed branding and safety stamps. The Pyro V3 RDTA comes pre-installed with a Gold plated standard 510 pin and as with previous versions of the Pyro the build quality is very good!

RDTA
RDTA's (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizers) were as the name suggests originally meant to be drippers with a tank as a reservoir, so rather than getting dry hits if you don't drip often enough the cotton draws juice from the tank.
Although the name RDTA has stuck i personally don't know anyone who actually drips using an RDTA they tend to be treated as top coiler RTA's having the advantage of dripper flavour while drawing juice from a tank and as mentioned the inclusion of a BF pin allows a squonk bottle to become an extension of their capacity.

The PYRO RDTA's Various Parts
Up top we have a Goon fitting Resin wide bore 810 drip tip, then we have the top-cap(sleeve) which has an inner section which is part of the airflow system that spins freely. We have the deck section with central pipe underneath to attach to the flat base, the 2ml capacity glass tube fits between the two secured and sealed with o-rings (a spare glass tube is included). The base section has an o-ring mid diameter so although most recent BF devices i have used don't tend to give seepage between the device's and atty's BF pins this will give a seal preventing e-liquid going on to your device if this does happen. The RDTA comes pre-installed with a standard 510 pin also a BF pin is included. Also included is a coil length cutting tool, Allen key, throw in the bin little blue screwdriver, 510 adaptor, spare screws, o-rings and finally a pair of fused clapton coils with full specs.
Fused Clapton Specs:
Ni80 26ga*2+35ga
ID: 2.8mm
6 wraps
0.33ohms (per coil)
Recommended Wattage 40-55W

The Airflow
This is the standout feature of the Pyro V3 as it has quite a complex airflow system giving honeycomb style airflow to the sides of the coils but also bottom airflow.
What's cool here is the system would make the deck very busy making building a little awkward and leaving nowhere to fill the tank, this is solved by having it in 2 sections with the main system being attached to the inside of the sleeve. When the sleeve is lowered into place the bottom protruding section of the airflow system inside the sleeve slots into position both sides over the fill ports interlocking in place which keeps everything lined up but also seals the ports.
The outer sleeve has "T" shaped honeycomb airflow inlets both sides and when the inner section is locked in place turning the sleeve closes down the airflow or you can even shut the bottom off altogether and just have side airflow while it always stays perfectly lined up.
The horizontal of the "T" gives your side airflow while the vertical feeds a tunnel that goes underneath the deck then comes up through honeycomb outlets underneath the coils. The airflow underneath the coils is like a half pike design and has 8 holes directly underneath the coils and 2 each on both end ramps to give lower side airflow. On the outer "T" airflow inlets we have 12 holes on the horizontal and 6 holes on the vertical giving 18 holes each side in total. Finally when looking inside the sleeve you can see the space left which reveals once fitted a reduced chamber will be created which will help with flavour.
