TygerTyger: I can relate to that. While I don't work, per se, I do try to keep the house up but I have to do so in small 'baby steps' or it throws me into a Lupus flares w/severe fatigue. Plus, the cooler I sit my notebook on is trying to quit working (it has something to do with the USB Plug but it is in the cord & it's in the thick part where the USB plug in section attaches to the cord so it's not like I can get someone to strip the cord & just repair it with electrical tape. Can't afford a new one right now either b/c my youngest just started college & despite what SSDI thinks about 18yo high school graduates not being dependents, they are wrong, dead wrong! That kid is taking a little more than a full-course load of classes on top of the college classes she took on her high school campus where professors came out to teach them. She is still my dependent & the loss of her dependent care check along w/SSDI reducing mine for some unknown reason, it's not easy sending her a little extra $ each week to help out w/toiletries and other things young women who are undergrad freshman living on campus will need. It breaks my heart b/c I'm struggling & she knows it so she won't ask for help even tho she needs it. I'm doing all I can to make sure she doesn't leave college just to come home & try to take care of me by going to work rather than getting this education she deserves so much & worked so hard to get where she is... But I digress)
If I close the lid to my computer notebook, it goes into hibernation mode & it cools down too. It was a gift back when Windows 7 had just come out. It has the HD screen & HD audio b/c back then my sight was a little better than it is now. I'm thankful for it - so thankful bc I can't see a television & it is difficult to make out what is going on since TVs don't have Descriptive Video for the blind like they have Closed-Captioning for the Deaf. This is my only outlet, other than my phone & it is blind-friendly or rather has blind-accessible software on it although it takes a lot of battery strength & I don't even know if they have extended batteries w/back lids for the Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE or not. I couldn't afford one if they did. So, I have to keep up with the power on it as well since I don't have a landline.
So yes, spread the joy.
@TygerTyger does one need to be on Mod Envy in order to win? Or will you send out emails to said winner/winners? I ask only because I use my cell phone for my Internet and I can't access your live stream show.
