First let me start off with Virginia's share of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement:
"In 1998, the Attorneys General of 46 states signed the Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) with the four largest tobacco companies in the United States to settle state suits to recover billions of dollars in costs associated with treating smoking-related illnesses. Four states - Florida, Minnesota, Mississippi, and Texas - settled their tobacco cases separately from the MSA states. While the MSA is in perpetuity, over the next 25 years, states will receive over $206 billion from the settlement. Virginia’s share will be $4.1 billion."
That's 4 Billion with a "B"
I would like to know where the fuck the 4 billion dollars went first before ANY new tax was being thought up.
Basically they wasted 4 billion dollars in less than 2 decades! Talk about a bunch of fuck ups! - 5150
