Hey, I am wondering what kind of prebuilt coils should I buy for my ijoy limitless rdta with stick v8 battery,
I have these to choose from in the vape shop: alien clapton
    Fused clapton
    Staggered fused clapton 0.6
    Twisted clapton
    Twisted helix clapton
    Tsuka clapton
I also have an option of buying coils from a person who is known for making amazing coils, isit cheaper/better to do that than buying from the shop?
    Thanks for any help :)

Try each of them and see which one you like best. You can get boxes of a variety of exotic coils online pretty cheap, too.

I recommended the fused clapton because of all that you listed those would be the easiest to keep balanced.

Not only that but I do have the limitless plus, yes I know its the newer version, however they are nearly identical. I do know out of experience that you will run in some difficulties with these over fancy coils, your pen probably will already have a hard time powering that RDTA, specially if ran as dual setup. I would agree with this suggestion of fused Clapton, but probably would run it as single build. I do that with mine too, however even that I have to run on my 85w mod @ around 35-75w depending on the build in some cases. Running it dual, I have to at least run it on a 150w mod at around 90-125w again depending on built. Ask your friend to build you some simple single coils for both dual and single, and see how your pen works with that and how or if you even enjoy it, might like it better then those Clapton's at the end.

Well stick v8 isnt the weakest from all, its still bout 100 watts, id prefer dual coils over the singles, but thanks for the opinion:)

I'd start with regular Claptons. The pre made Claptons by demon killer are decent kenthal coils. I actually have been using the same Clapton and alien Clapton for over two weeks.

I will say that these are not actual alien Claptons, but there good any how.

I would start using the Claptons because your able to get .45 on a duel and .8 or .9 single coil. So your not going to low. Personally I don't like going super sub OHM because it drains the fuck or of my batteries and the cons out weigh the pros. They do look cool tho

The problem is - i don't think the stick v8 battery can candle too low of a resistance, well atleast most people have told me that, so i have been recently getting twisteds

The v8 stick cant take a lot. Its 30 - 45 watts max at 3.7 volt. I have it on the conquer rta with simple dual 28 awg twisted nichrome 80. With 5 wrap 3 id. Ohms in at about .33 and takes about 41 watt fully charged to fire. Thats as safe as i feel pushing that batt.

Well by the ohms law calculations its 70-80 watts fully charged, but as i understood i cant use coils with too high resistance or too low of a resistance, isit true i cant use 1.8 ohm coils( counting both)?

Its a tough one to use on ohms law calc becuase its not a true mec it still has saftey chip and stuff. But if you look at the two coils smok reccomds with it. They are .15 ohm and .25 ohm. simple dual 26 awg i belive when i ripped the coils apart. Im not sure about 1.8 ohm iv never built that high. I tryed to stay as close as i could to what fac coils were doing and never really ventured past cuz of the chip controling stuff still. Screenshot_2017-11-09-06-20-10-1.png

Ohms laws numbers say onr thing, the battery numbers say another thing, but have you actually tried vaping a regulated mod on 60 watts? The stick v8 power and clouds and everything definitely surpass the 60 watt regulated mods by a longshot. Thats atleast my opinion

Your v8 can run .45. that's split. My pre made Claptons are a1 kenthal come out to .9.

That mod comes with the tfv8 baby beat. Hell I think most those coils that tank runs are below .4

Yes i have. I have several regulated mods and mec mods that are set any where from 50 to 130 watts depending on coil and tank and juice. It can compete with a reg mod at 60 watt with the right build. But then again it can be left in the dust with a dif mod to thats got a good build and tank on it to. My opinion would be dont go to beefy of a build. Follow manufacturers rating. Figure out amp load your not guna wana go over 20 amp. Normal clapton. twisted. Fused clapton. twisted clapton. plain old single wire builds. Parallel wire build. Just give them a try. just watch amp so it dont go boom on you.

Depends on wire size and all that. If it clouds id do a single wire or parallel singles or the fused clapton

It sure is. All depends on wire and wraps. You have wire or buy premade coil stuff?

I would buy premade coil stuff, 1 more question- what is the difference between 0.21 claptons and 0.21 twisteds?

The twisting is only dif. It is supposed to give you a little more surface area. If you are guna buy the stuff pre made the finer the wrap the better. I would also recommend vape tool app or steam engine. I prefer the vape app i find it easier imo. Itll allow you to play with wraps and other wires and stuff.

I know about the ohms counting and stuff, but i was wondering, the only difference between alien and twisted is the surface area? Because id probably prefer overall bigger coil surface area since ill be getting less dry hits if chain vaping

Aliens are totally different then plain claptons and twisted claptons imo. Go with the aliens if your looking for surface area. Thats whats in mine right now

    Ramp up time is irritating.

Here's a simple answer, I agree try fused Claptons or alien Claptons there pretty good generally. I love fused Claptons but it's hard to find ones that don't take for fucking ever to ramp up. I don't like huge chunky kenthal builds.

Ask around and see if you can get ahold of some hive wire. I don't recommend buying it un coiled it's a bitch to coil. To me, the thinner the hive wire the better.

If your new to coiling Claptons are the usual next step up. Every one goes for that next.

After finding nichrome I feel in love. I have my rdta geekvape avacado ohming at .15 dual parallel. I have quite a bit of those demon killer pre wrapped and I would way rather my nichrome parallel builds all day.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Bro do yourself a favor it seems to be your interested in vaping. Research everything you can about coiling and building.

I believe the smok stick v8 is an unregulated with there on board battery. My friend in AA has one. There ok, your going to quickly outgrow that mod if your already asking about Coils lol

The Smok Stick is not an unregulated mod.
