Big Tobacco wants vaping shut down since they cant control it or compete with it long term. I for one woudlnt but anything from big tobacco if I knew it benefited them. They dismissed it as a passing phase, tried to get on the wagon far too late so now they want to set the wagon on fire and destroy it. Going after the pieces that make the whole is an effective battle strategy. Flavoring is a pretty critical element to the vaping experience in my humble opinion.

The people over on Reddit DIYejuice are shitting their pants right now. A few subreddits were shut down and just vanished over night cuz of the FDA bs. Some of them have years invested in that place. But the thing is, they dont own it. Reddit does, and they can do whatever they want.

Really? Wow......do they just not wanna be associated with diy? Do they think the fda is gonna start combing subreddits to find out who is using food flavoring for vaping?? I mean, I wouldn’t put it past them, but seriously.....and why??? The FDA really sucks.....they’re gonna make me spend more money on stockpiling flavors. Godammit......

I believe it's premade juice only. DIY is still fine, for now anyway

I don’t know....I checked it out and the diy subreddit is exploding. Their fear is that Reddit will shut them down without a moments notice....all kinds of talk about how to back up all their work. It’s pretty intense. I hope they’re all ok....some good mixers over there.

Edit....people are going nuts over there. Lots of f-bombs, people wondering why the porn subreddits are still up, why some subreddits got pulled down(mostly about firearms and their accessories). The admins dropped their new rules and left. People are pisssssssed.....

Gotcha. @Just Frank posted earlier about reddit shutting down subreddits out of the blue. No notice given at all. The diyers are freaking out. But I think you’re right for now about the FDA.....we’ll see how far they try to go. But it’s gonna be hard to ban food flavoring. I think it’s gonna impact commercial juice makers way more than us.

As long as the flavorings we buy are just sold as flavorings and make no claims about use in vaping we are good.
however if it is sold by a supply source that specializes in vaping stuff or makes claims about using the flavoring in vaping then the FDA can step in I think.

Kinda like vape wire with lightning vape on it it may be a tobacco product but the exact same wire with a non vaping label may be ok.

Intended use thing I think it is called.

From what I can pick up from the ECR forum they were marketing DIY not just talking about how do to it and recipes.

Right. Keep it on the down low. Flavoring was there before we got our hands on it.....it should be ok.

Yeah concerns me about BCF, My goto flavor supply.
They changed their name from Bull City Vapors I thought to get out fro under FDA scrutiny and then they start that recipe pack thing....

Nicotine now may be a whole nuther ballgame....

I have enough in the freezer to do me till I die.

Finally got around to building this NarcOff I've had laying around for months - not overly impressed so far

But earlier, got some vape mail off to my favorite cousin, vaped a lot, gabbed on VU and caught the last 10 minutes of mod envy

Went to my first vape convention yesterday. It was pretty lame.
It's was like,
50% juice
45% regulated/subohm tanks(smok)
3% mech mods
1.5% rda/rta/rdta
0.5% squonk gear

I wanted a black goon and my buddy wanted some vct5a's. There were probably 50 different booths/companies and not one of them had any vct5a's and only one had goons but not black.

My buddy bought a vandy vape mesh rda just because it was cheap. ($25) So I got to build with mesh for the first time. Tried squonking with it and I don't think it's a good idea. The cotton completely covers the squonk pin, creating a lot of pressure in the 510 and feeding tube which led to some leaking inside the Srabbit clone I gave him.

I stuck my vape in the same pocket I had my keys in yesterday, suddenly my leg felt like it was on fire. Pulled the vape out of my pocket & my limitless RDTA was so hot that I couldn't touch the metal on it. Apparently, my keys pushed the fire button for quite some time. Surprisingly, I was able to mold the plastic piece back into shape without ruining the threads. From now on my vape does not share a pocket with anything else! Whew! The burn on my leg was only superficial. Scared the shit out of me, though!

Ive never been to one and this sort of reinforces why. Always thought it would be a bunch of dick wagging and guys with clones of super nice stuff trying to pass them off as real for pats on the back from other guys with really nice stuff.

Made a low budget RDA base holder for building and wicking.
Parts needed:
1. 510 (mine came from a cheap ohm reader that no longer works).
2. Empty coil container.
3. Large flat washer (to add some weight).
4. Glue sticks.

Tools needed:
Drill and drill bits
Glue gun

I spent time working on more vape holders for the car. Hydrodipping them with the theme Joker . I really love making these .

I have the exact same pair, except I have a Harbor Freight near me & they were only $4. But still, $8 is a bell of a lot cheaper than the $24 all the B&M shops around here charge for them!

Mixed a few batches of juice, educated a coworker on how DIYing can make vaping affordable, & began educating myself on making my own coils & trying to figure out the basics of what I need to get started. If all the DIY subjects, could scare me the most but I tried a DIY coil someone else made the other day & the flavor was SO much better! So I'm determined to learn it.

Mixed up some batches for a broke buddy to get him back on the vape and off the stinkies. He will be by tomorrow and we are going to run through his kit and get everything cleaned up and operational again.

Vaping changed my life by getting me off the analogs. Can only speak for myself but feel compelled to share that with others looking to get off the cigarettes.

Cleaned up one of my old Aromamizer V1's and put it on a mod. Still a very nice vape with a single coil setup :)

I want a lazy susan atty holder. Have it mostly designed and the lazy susan hardware bought. Making last minute design decisions and getting ready to put wood to lathe. Hopefully pics to come soon :cool:
