Very true!!! Even though I vape the same flavor all the time, I found dealing with all the various parts, especially the tubing, just too big a hassle. I can easily see that someone who plays musical vapes would find that aspect even more troublesome.

The biggest issue for me is that no other atty provides the same intensity of flavor as my Achilles. I got one BF atty that wasn't too bad at all, but "not too bad" is a real long way from "freaking awesome!"

That is so true Andria- when you find your vape Nirvana you stick with it. I didn't think I would like squonking after my DripBox fiasco, but glad I tried again with the VT Inbox- I need regulated squonks- I can control the fury! I also like RDTAs and lucky to have found the Flave styled from FT and will be getting another for my new Squeeze 2 when it gets here. I also purchased a squonk refill bottle, so filling is now a breeze.
Nice to have a 7ml bottle and I am really enjoying squonking. They only downfall has been single battery life- but just won a PB2 and very easy to switch to a new battery- the VT Inbox has replaced my beloved Nebox, which has been my travel go to mod for over 2 years now.

That's the only way to go.

Yes the refill bottles are much easier- my VT Inbox bottle is so squishy that I would make a mess when refilling- but Thanks to my friend @Heartsdelight she told me about these bottles- life(squonk) saver!

So my Armour Pro showed up yesterday. I'm so pissed! The box had been opened and there is a scratch on the mod. I contacted the vendor and after a couple B+F e-mails they have shipped me a new one. Hoping it gets here in time to use on the 4th.

I love the size and feel. A little disappointed that the red is brighter than pictured. (You would think I'd be use to color disappointment by now )
The cap on the tank is a little tricky. You have to unscrew the black cover to slide the top back for filling then remember to screw it back down once it's back in place. The odd part is that the cover is reverse threaded

Then if the hardware that provides that vape nirvana can't be purchased anymore.... you just got obsoleted. I'm in this situation with the Achilles, because NOTHING else is as tight a draw, which also provides the saturated intensity of flavor. Sure, cartos are tight... but they gunk really easily, don't provide a lot of flavor, and THEY are also getting harder and harder to find. My old Kayfuns can be adjusted quite tight... but again... the flavor is pretty much absent. My Magmas do provide pretty good flavor, but they leak like a sieve, have to be kept vertical at all times, and are a little more airy than I prefer, though I've modified mine to be even tighter than their smallest single hole normally provides -- it's marginal; if they didn't leak and didn't have to be kept vertical, I could probably accustom myself... but why bother, with such a troublesome atty.

I find it surprising that there aren't folks trying to get rid of their Achilles, since the draw IS so tight; most nowadays want that whoosh of tornadic airflow -- my son finds a Kayfun 4, with dual airflow COMPLETELY OPEN WIDE, to be much too tight. So where are all the Achilles?

That red is absolutely nothing like the photo. Photo looks almost like a rose color. It's very patriotic, though. Right time of year, for sure.

I'd be pissed, too, about that scratch. Can't stand my stuff all scratched up.

One other aspect of the Achilles that has completely spoiled me for ever using a tank again -- it's UTTERLY SILENT -- no roar, no bubble, no gurgle (unless I go nuts filling it and get some juice down the airhole). I hear my son vaping his OBS Nano and I think jaysus, could that thing be any louder??? The few times I've tried to go back to my KFL+'s, same thing... they're just too damn noisy!

At least they are sending a replacement! The mod colors are very pretty, but you are right- it is more red than what appears in the picture- but still very pretty.

If it can't be rebuilt, not interested even a little bit. There's no economy at all in having to constantly buy consumables. I didn't even buy paper plates for decades, though when we got a cat, I found that it's good to have them, for the lil snacks we sometimes give her. And I buy cheap paper towels -- Sparkle, because not only are they cheap, they don't leave lint behind.

Yes the throw away factory coils can get expensive- I have RBAs for most of my sub tanks.
My other favorite sub tank is the Asvape Cobra- until I couldn't get the coils for it any more- I still have 4 boxes of coils, they didn't make an RBA- so those tanks will be no good without the coils. Cobra Tanks now sit in my cabinet, just for emergency use only- good thing I won one, was given one, and bought the others for $5.00 each- so not a lot of money invested.
This is when I got into rebuidables- so actually turned out to be a good thing for me.

There is no way a factory coil would last for weeks, with the gunk monster juice I vape. My built coils last about 2-4 wks, with about 2-3 dry burns before the taste starts falling off, but factory coils aren't built for longevity, they're built to burn out fast so you buy more -- profit centers.

They aren't dual coils. They are single vertical coils, and a vape on a Kabuki (even a clone) bears no resemblance to a vape on a Nautilus, either the full-size or the mini. But it was just a suggestion, no biggie.

I ordered the acrylic one pictured below on the left for my daughter for $6.99, and the blue snake one for myself for $7.99. Have had my nose in a terrific series of historical novels about early American history. Book one was about the Roanoke colony, book two is about Jamestown. The Pico is highly regarded - it is that Coral attie that came with it that sucked so badly, possibly the worst RDA ever made, lol

Also, the type of build you had in it would not perform in any non-regulated mod, regardless of the attie

While there are a few minor exceptions, you really should never buy a squonker kit, just go for the mod and get a decent RDA (RSA) separately

That is outrageous- asking for more money- 3 day shipping would be around $4.00.
If I hadn't Vaped Forward my SubTank- I would have given it to you- Mine was brand new in the box- somebody in need, so I sent it to them and I think shipping was around $4.00 and they got it within 3 days.
Now he should just eat the cost of shipping it to you ASAP. When I sell, I try to figure 3 days shipping into the cost, I usually mail out the same day or the next day and give a tracking # when shipped.
I wouldn't pay another dime if I were you, since you already paid over 2 weeks ago and still not received your tank. I would want my money back actually!

Speaking of that, thank you for driving in the point that I should get the s-mod only, then pair the rda. And, I knew the rda that came with it was shit, but I tried it anyway. I'll have to find a 22mm rda with a pin here somewhere. It is 22mm, correct? I think the Wraith is bigger. I already have 31 tabs open between shopping vendors, FB, eBay, and high end RDAs to put on my Squid Double Barrel mod.

So. I have the Pico and the Wraith which I've yet to try. I do love my RTAs. Question: Which 2 realllly good regulated squonk mods would you suggest so I get the full experience? Most of the RDAs I've been picking up at great prices have the pin. I just don't want to be disappointed again. The Desire looks like everyone is happy with it. The Pulse Gene chip is out - I want something cool/sexy looking that I can switch up.

Hey ladies,

I've been seeing sooo much big, clunky, crazy colored tank stuff. Some look like toys.

So, I'm getting into high end, small beaded tank bling with Swarovski crystals and a dangling charm on them, or not. Different colored crystals help transition a different color mod and tank. I like swank swag, period. So I'm going to try to go classy. Swarovski isn't cheap but damn, it's beautiful. I don't like stuff that get in the way but makes a statement. We'll see.
