Hi,

I can't decide what box mod to get.. I am moving up from my Kanger emow. I want to make big clouds to make tricks and etc. price IS an issue for me, my budget is under $100. i have 2 batteries that my friends can toss me + dual charger. so i can cut out the price of batteries . size is also an important factor. Im not interested in something bulky

I don't want an evic mini or Kanger subox. I feel as if that it is for a beginner and would be too simple for me now. All of my buddies have mods and have shown me how to do almost everything so I'm confident in getting something more advanced.

Anyways!! i am looking at the 150W Cuboid by joytech, can anyone recommend something similar? price and spec wise!

Go for it! Or if you want even more wattage and not so picky about various TC, since you said you want big clouds I would assume you will be using a larger guage wire with lower ohm, you might wanna check out the IPV3 Li. It is upgradable to 200 watts and needs only 2 batteries.

If your bound and determined to buy Chinese junk, look at the Vaporflask Stout. Least it was designed in the US. True 100 watts using A single 26650 battery. Compact and sturdy. Think they were selling for about 89 bucks. Other option being RX200. 200w using 3 18650s for under 60 bucks.

+1 for the RX200...$45 (ea) from VapeNw... Designed here in the US by Jaybo and manufactured by Wismec..Chinese or no, these mods are great..had these two a month with no issues at all vaping them everyday...

three batts go forever, mod feels awesome in my hand, and with 1.1w to 200w available.. Has TC and USB in-mod charging, but I charge my batts separately in a 4 bay external charger.. Best money I've spent this year on vape gear...lol

I like to buy once and be done..
Even though the RX is a 200w mod I never vape much above 80w, but its nice to know I have all that extra power should I ever need it...

I'm coming from a Kanger e-mow.. so I've never built any coils and done my own wicking. so store bought heads

A lot of people like the Crown tank and really like the SS heads you can buy for it. Another crowd favorite was the TFV4, it's heads are more expensive though. I only build my own coils, so that's about as useful as I can be.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit Take a look in this section of the forum to see what's out there. Here's the link.

I have a ton of tanks, including the crown, tfv4 herk plus, arctic v8, vengeance....the list goes on... I use all of them on the cuboid, rx, kbox 120 and 200. They are all great tanks and mods, especially considering the price points of each. Breazy has the herk plus for $22, ecig has the crown for around $20, vaporworld.biz has the tfv4 full kit for $24, and the arctic v8 is around $25 pretty much everywhere.

You really cannot go wrong with any of the above items. Both the rx and the cuboid weigh about the same, heavy but durable. The cuboid will fit better in your pocket. The kanger's seem to be nice but I have only had them for a couple of days so I cannot speak fully to their performance. Check out vapenw, they have some of the best prices on the rx and cuboid, are great to work with, process and ship super fast.

Good luck and happy shopping! Let us know what you end up with and how you like it! :)

ohh that sucks! I'm unclear on how it works, but can't you order from US sites, or is it too much with shipping?

it will just convert my money until USD and it probably won't be worth it.. + shipping would suck as well

oh sweet! I've only gone to local vape shops... I'm a little paranoid about ordering any things from 3rd party places by getting fake products?

I'm liking the Cuboid a little more than when I first got it I thought the watts were going to be a bigger deal than they are turning out to be. The TC in the Cuboid performs very well. My normal ADV is .22 ohms, and the Cuboid can push it to 137.5 watts, I never run it over 100, so it works for me. If you like builds below .2 at high watts, it is probably not a good choice for you. For what you say your'e wanting to do I would recommend the RX200. You can get one at VapeNW for 39.99, and $5 shipping. I like my Cuboid, but I don't think it is as capable as the RX200. The RX200 can push anything you put on it to 200 watts. On a Cuboid you're going to need a build over .32 ohms, to get to 200 watts. OhmsX625 will tell you how hard a Cuboid can push any build. With you wanting to do coil porn, and tricks the RX200 is probably going to be a better fit and only $4 more.

I like the Smok TFV4... Shown in the pic I posted earlier in this thread..its more of a cloud blowin tank and it does that well with the supplied triple coil at about 80w on the RX200..

I am looking to buy a new regulated mod that is small and well built. I'm thinking about grabbing a Wotofo Freakshow Mini. Has anyone used this mod? If so what did you think about it other than the low wattage output?
