I'm honestly not sure Mark. They will stay GREEN when they are full size. The tree was here when we moved in in 1999, and 2 years ago was the first time that we had apples that were big enough to eat. They actually tasted pretty good. Last year....We had NOTHING. They didn't grow enough. This year, with all the rain that we had, we're gonna have a "metric shit ton" of apples from that ONE tree!
Well, if they are green when ripe, and semi- sweet, they could well be Granny Smith apples, one of my favs! My all time fav is the Pink Lady apple though.I'm honestly not sure Mark.
