Why hasn't cloud chasing just....died by now.

Personally, I am kind of over the animosity over vape styles. Its pointless. Alot more hobbyists enjoy all styles depending on mood. That's why we Build up large collections.

I agree. I guess it's natural to expect others to enjoy the setups that work for us. Just like flavors, one person's ambrosia is another's crap. As long as we find our sweet spot and can stay off the smokes, we are successful vapers and that's all that matters. A variety of setups in the vape hoard is a good thing.

As far as clouds in public go, I think we all ought to try to be considerate. Most people don't care about your clouds - they don't want stuff you're expelling from your internal organs in their faces. My philosophy is that if it would be rude to smoke there, then its even more rude to fog-out there. I don't recall having trouble waiting for the right opportunity to light up a smoke. I don't see why vaping should be any different. Perhaps more cloud-chasers than we would expect operate like this and that is why you guys are seeing less of it in public. They can't all be rude, bro-magnun types, you know?

I'm with you 100% on this! I have no issue with the cloud chasers - except when they do it where it shouldn't be done...in the grocery store, or the lobby area of a building, etc. I've seen a few times now, in the line of a local ice cream spot, dudes chucking big clouds. I'm not a psychologist (nor do I play one on TV), but I'm pretty sure they're doing it just for attention. I'm also pretty sure some of the families in line aren't too thrilled with a guy fogging it up while they're standing there with their kids. Sure, I love to vape...but I can go an entire 5-10 minutes without doing it. All that's really doing is giving the non-vapers more ammo to use against us. With that, more "reason" for regulations.

Aside from that...if you wanna chuck clouds then, by all means, chuck 'em. Wanna fog your house or car up? Go ahead.

I personally think putting a WeedEater exhaust on a Honda Civic is downright silly, but hey - it's not hurting anyone. To each their own.

But, a little courtesy goes a long way...

most real cloud chasers are pretty considerate it's only the occasional adolscent showing off.

I also agree with this. Unfortunately, there's still enough of that to irritate the non-vapers. I've seen quite a few people vaping in checkout lines (such as Walmart & grocery stores), while shopping in stores, etc. Not all of these people were the "big-hitters", but in some cases they were. Either way, a bit of discretion should apply. If it's not an area where you'd light up a smoke, it's probably not wise to vape there either.

I'd like to know what part of the world this is happening in because around me vaping indoors has been banned by the businesses for at least 3 years. The local businesses beat the local and state legislation by years in banning vaping (the state only bans vaping in health care facilities, public buildings, and leaves private buildings at the discretion of the owner) which didn't happen until last year.

Here in San Diego vaping is banned in stores like Walmart.. Where smoking is prohibited in certain areas vaping is too..That said I vape down at the casino in the smoking section..clouds are typical vaping a subohm tank at 65-70w or so..folks comment that they like the sweet smelling aroma of my juice, because normally that place smells like a big dirty ashtray. Don't get me wrong, a lot of folks down there vape as well, and a few of them even drip, blowing bigger clouds than I do, nobody complains, and a few folks always ask me how they can quit smoking and get started vaping...I vape in my truck, blowing fluffy white clouds out the window and get an occansioal thumps up from fellow drivers... and of course down at my local shop and that place is so foggy sometimes it's hard to see but everybody loves it! Here at home my room is in a constant state of fog, vaping 5 mods in rotation with different flavors... and I do love it so!! :)

I know I see that here outside of new Orleans .
Orleans parish (we have parishes not counties) made vaping have to follow smoking laws, but vapors dopnt listen and bars don't care, outlying parishes let you vape wherever, leaving it up to business owners-at least that's the way its treated.

I'm in the western part of Maryland. Things are slower to catch on around here. I don't know for certain if it's technically banned in stores, but I still see people doing it.

And, yes @Break-19, I get many favorable comments on the smell of my vapes. Most of my co-workers don't mind at all. I get lots of questions about it, even from nonsmokers/vapers. There is one guy who doesn't like it at all. He's never said a word to me about it, but he has to another guy who vapes. Simple solution...I don't ever vape around him. Technically, we aren't allowed to vape anywhere but in the designated smoke shacks. Oddly enough, about the only criticism I've ever received about the smell/vapor cloud is from - you guessed it - the smokers!

In recent months I received two "vape waves". There was a guy at a traffic light who evidently saw my vapor coming out of my car window - when the light turned he got in front of me, chucked a big cloud out his window and then held up his mod. Another time, also at a traffic light, a guy looked over, showed me his mod and gave a thumbs up.

@Zortec2112 im in cumberland.. its banend in a lot of our stores.
go in giannis on mechanic street - they have a sign
lowes and walmart DG ,martin's and most other MAJOR stores have it as a corporate policy

Now alot of stores have no sign - but just keep looking around. took my son up to oakland for a bowling tournament - multiple signs there saying no vaping.
I dont go to the bars so I have no idea about them. I know the few restaurants I eat at do not allow it like wasabi, texas gril house, applebees.

Now I was in a outback outside pittsburg a few years ago, and the waitress said it was fine there.

I have no problem in stores say no vaping, i think bars should alllow it in moderation. But its their property so its their call

That should be all there is to it. Unfortunately there are those that are born with the idea that everything they like and do should be accepted as the best things to do bu everyone and become a standard way of thinking. Its like playstation vs xbox, pc vs mac, chevy vs ford, import vs american muscle and everything else thats set on personal preferences.
There is always those people that think they know more about shit than others, so their opinion should be values more. Those people are dicks.

I'm in Cumberland as well...I wasn't aware that it's been officially banned in many stores yet, but I do still see it happening sometimes.

My own thought on it, for whatever it's worth...
Even if an establishment allows it, that doesn't mean that you should (I'm on the fence regarding bars). I feel that if it's not a place where you'd light a cigarette, you shouldn't vape either. If the establishment allows smoking, then vaping in there is a no-brainer.

I just hate to see even more regulations/laws passed against vaping than necessary. Lovers gonna love, haters gonna hate. When some young kid is foggin' up the line at an ice cream stand, people are bound to get irritated. It just gives all of us a bad rap. I'm sure some do it out of sheer ignorance, but some do it just to create controversy. They want to vape wherever they want "just because they can and/or it's not smoking".

We're not allowed to smoke on the property at work. But, a couple times, recently, when I was in the office, all by myself, during way off hours, addressing a problem: I brought my Super Stealth Vape setup (Kanger Protank 3 Mini atop an iTaste VV4) along and vaped that. Vaping ≠ smoking in my state. Not yet, anyway. And the employee handbook does not address vaping. (Thus the stealth setup & nobody else around. I don't want to give anybody any ideas.)

As for the Cloud Chasers/Pushers vs. the Tootle Puffers vs. the MTL'ers vs. the DI/DL'ers vs. the <whatevers>: Other than any of them offending those in their presence who do not partake: Who cares and why? As for the OP's original question/premise: The inventors of the automobile weren't looking to create NASCAR or Le Mans. Parachutes weren't invented to facilitate base jumping. Firearms weren't invented to facilitate punching holes in paper and knock over steel targets, nor were bows developed to stick shafts of wood into bales of hay. All of these things were developed for practical purposes, and subsequently found sporting or entertainment roles. You may or may not see the sense in it, but that's ok: You don't have to.

I love the flavor of my juices more than anything. I get quite frustrated when I can't really taste the juice I just bought. It just so happens that the best way (in my opinion at least) to deliver the maximum flavor and desired throat hit produces a fairly large cloud. I'm not looking to blow the biggest cloud than any other person around me.. But I do like the fact that it produces a nice cloud.

Also... From my smoking days. I probably inhaled just about as much smoke from cigarettes and other crap as I do vapor from my mod now. Now it's just purely nicotine. I also ensure my juices are free of chemicals (Diacetyl, Acetyl Propionyl, etc..) So I think I'm on the right track still :)

then he asked why I was 'still' on that and I should graduate to a smok.

In a nutshell, that's my kryptonite. "You should..." or "Why don't you have..." or "I know you just saved the corporation $5,000, but did you realize [rambles on about thinly linked activist agenda]."

It has nothing to do with being told I'm wrong or that there's a better way to do stuff. It has everything to do with finding out through context that someone has zero perspective and has no clue how life works.

If you're in the middle of complimenting someone and feel a "but" coming on, stop talking. You're doing it wrong. (Hypocrite Alert: I just did it today.)

Vaping in public or at least around others in my opinion is a big no-no. I never vape indoors or around others because we have to be respectful that they may not like it. I vape at my work, even when customers are in the shop, but never right next to them Or in their face. But that's only because it's quite a large space and my boss has an aerotank sitting on an iStick that he uses out there too. Don't be blowing clouds around people in public or in stores and set a bad example. No matter how cool you think you are or want to be. Hell when I took public transportation on the bus I would walk my butt over to the smoking section of the transit center and do my vaping there. I was even told by a security officer there I could use it anywhere and even inside.. But I feel that puts a bad example in the heads of others who don't vape.

Ok I'll chime in... To me, clouds are a side effect of amazing flavor and a rich, thick lungfull of Vapor. My journey from cigarettes required me to step into the sub ohm world to get the level of satisfaction necessary to fully quit. As far as vaping in public, I use my discretion and usually dont vape in places where one can't smoke. It is perceived as the same thing by the " non" population. So outside is usually fair game, but not in close proximity to families and kids. I have yet to encounter a rude cloud blowing punk insisting on exposing my family to his cloud exhaust. When that day comes he will be asked nicely but firmly to cease and desist. His response and attitude will determine what happens next.

There is no right or wrong style of vaping. It's whatever the particular vaper likes, that's it. Some might say, "why doesn't everyone vape like me", or "why doesn't everyone vape mouth to lung", etc, or when we smoked say, "when is everyone going to stop smoking all these brands when they could all be smoking Camels". Cloud chasing, mouth to lung, straight lung hits, all good as long as you're not smoking cigarettes. Whatever flips the vaping chicken.

There's never a wrong reason to buy another harness. I mean a harness. A first harness.

Good. Because now I'm thinking about starting a Bungee Vaping Club. Maybe call it Ropes and Coils. "Vapers Blowing Mad Clouds... Upside Down." (TM)

How effing fast would the general public believe something like that existed. New VU thread, photoshopped mods in bungee jumpers hands, some half-ass logo, a couple quote-worthy posts. It would be on national news websites in a week.
