I completely agree. That's why I keep coming back to this forum I actually get answers to my questions. I've sent many of messages to those guys on Instagram for tips and not one has replied to me but here I get a ton of info and tips from one question. Really the people make the place great and I would like to thank everyone for just being kind and supportive to all vapers. You all kick ass!
If I can help anyone with anything I try to.
I keep telling everyone at work "if you wont help yourself don't ask others to help you" and no-one understands why.
We need to look out for eachother but also must look after ourselfs. We need to have a group of people who learned from the wrong ways to teach us the right way.

I think alot of "instagram builders" take the "I don't know them so I won't help them" look on things because they would get 100 of the same questions everyday if they started to answer everyone's mails and shit.

Well, from someone who does both, IG is for pics. Like, that's why it exists. Forums are for discussions, learning and general chit chat.

Forums are for anything and everything labeled and up for discussion of the topic posted. Ive never seen a forum that didnt allow picture threads, those actually generate the most views on a forum over time normally, this is just my own experience though.

You should see some of the pics I put up on thesmokering.com - a BBQ website. You will drool all over your keyboard. But I haven't really been overly active on there in a while.
Off topic: I used to own a small BBQ joint a few years back.

Your swivels are definitely fucked up or something. That shouldn't be happening.

I tried doing it like squidood, and I didn't use swivels or a vice....I think that's the real problem

30g for the Core or Outer wrap??? I hardly ever use 30g...Even for Series, I like 28g Cores for Series and 26g/24g for anything else...36g and higher for outer wraps.

Using 30g for the outerwrap can cause alot of stress on the cores and bend/snap them after a while, using it as a core you have to be careful as pulling too hard on the clapton while claptoning the cores can break them from the drill.

24g core, 30g outer. What would you recommend for the outer?

Yeah freehand wrapping is complicated to many moving part to stay on top of. Def pick up some swivels they save so much time, headache, and wire.

Okay, the people at my local shop recommended 30, so I went with it
They must be crazy...Unless your making Cat Tacks no way would I used 30g for the outer wrap...like I said before anything above 36g almost wraps itself...well until around 42g (using swivels)...34g-38g is pretty easy using just your hands though.

90% of the shops employees in my area have only vaped between 1-6 months...and none of them build.

It's funny that they hire people that really just start vaping which no hardly anything. I hate going into a shop and hearing an employee giving false info. Drives me nuts then want to get bent out of shape when I correct them. /facepalm

I dont even bother going to the local shops anymore...I feel out of place and uncomfortable...most of those employees "know much more then you do" and I cringe and feel a pain in my side hearing some of the things they suggest or do when dealing with a customer in front of me...

When my local shop first opened I was supportive but everyone of the people that knew there shit went else where and he hired inexperienced college kids. The feel of the shop changed now it's always packed with them college kids and they act stuck up. Just not my scene...

Man I feel lucky for having a good local shop, I know more than most of them now but both employees are generally alright people that know what they're talking about. Then again everyone is over 30 has been vaping for years.

Yeah I'm in my 30's and been Vaping g for 2 years started building about a year ago. The past 6 months I have gotten into the advance building. Steam engine. Which I just found like 3 months or so ago have really help me step up my game. I tried talking to the kids at the shop about it and recommended the site but they "know way more than I do". Which they all use pre built coils.

Here's one just looking:
Ahh I seen those vids but your wire just looked super clean compared to those, to be honest, I didn't think they were the same.

How's she vape? Is it worth wrapping up?

I did happen to meet this one guy that builds at the B&m shop. I've been wanting to get together and do some builds and maybe try to collaborate on some ideas but with 3 kids and a wife it's near impossible to get out of the house for more than an hour. one of these days I will escape this madness even if I'm to be drawn back in.

Need to invest in some different gauges.
Thinnest i got is 32. Then its 26, 24 and 22. All nichrome. And .5 ribbon.
I use the 32 as my outer wire.

I find a Fused Clapton comprised of 2 x 28KA1/38KD (8 Wraps/3mm ID) is one of the best builds for Series there is...

Dang, that sucks. I have a cordless and a corded that I use, and also a backup of each one just in case one dies. I need the redundancy for business.
