Wiring an led light into my own mini v2 chip box mod

How can I wire an led light into my pwm v2 mini chip box mod? Every time I connect one it blinks then burns out? I want it to stay lit while the fire button is being pressed

You will need a series resistor for the LED.

I'm using a 220 ohm resistor

You will need a bigger one. Try a 1k.
220 ohm is fine for 5V but I suspect that your mod is putting out around 8 volts.

Also I cannot figure the exact resistor needed without knowing the specs on your led.
! K will prolly work though.

Ok I will definitely try that. You're right I'm running right at 8 volts

Probably just may be a bit dimmer. Should not hurt anything to try.

I would try the 1.43K.

Ok cool I found a 1k ohm resistor in on eBay in a 5 pack. So that should work right?

The led is rated at 2.4 volts

Is this a high intensity led? aka 1 Watt or more?
if so you will need a current limiter that limits the current without dropping the voltage. Not a simple resistor thing.
