Woody Harrelson has revealed the mysterious character he's playing in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff film.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Harrelson said he's playing a criminal and a longtime mentor to Han Solo who goes by the name of Beckett.
"I play a guy named Beckett who's kind of a criminal and mentor to Han," Harrelson said. "That's all I can say."
The actor was reluctant to share more and there is no known character who goes by the name of Beckett and fits that description in the Star Wars universe. However, he does sound similar to Garris Shrike, a bounty hunter who first appeared in the Star Wars Expanded Universe novel The Paradise Snare. Shrike rescued Solo from the streets and raised him as his own.
