Would this work on a Unregulated build

Planning on building a unregulated box mod and was wondering if I could use this kind of mosfet since I have a few of them laying around? IRFZ44N IRFZ44 N-Channel 49A 55V Transistor MOSFET

Big NO!

There will be too much resistance when on and you should really use Logic Level MOSFET's like IRLB3813PBF or IRLB3034PBF or some of the proven surface mount ones on a board (like the microFET boards I sell on eBay). Those will end up getting too hot for several reasons.
