not to hijack the thread...
first, i think i like the looks of this device...
second, i learned/heard that lower (.4 in this case) resistance coils on a regulated device are kinda fruitless, could someone explain that in a way an old and stoopid guy can understand...i havent tried a sub ohm build on anything i own...
third, i may have to put the 'ol crowbar to the wallet.
thanks for the review/video.
Mainly because if you throw a .4ohm coil on a simple mech mod you'll be vaping at around 40 watts while with a .3ohm build you'll be over 50. Even at .5 you'd be over 30watts on a mech mod.

Now if it were a 50-100watt regulated device it would be a little different.

No 18650 tube included?? I really like the form of this mod in 18500 but for the price I'm not thrilled with the function of it. No usb charging port is a big hit but the way you use this with a cap,, not a total deal killer for me.. No included 18650 tube is a deal killer.. TBH this mod looks uninviting and awkward in 18650 and the more I see it the less I like it.. When they get this scaled up to 26650 or 18650 I'll own it.. 18650 is the smallest battery I will use seriously.. I prefer dual batteries in parallel for a regulated device above 15 watts.. I'm not buying a pocket full of 18500 batteries to run this thing is all I know..

Focalecig has the 18650 tube up for something like $16.00

That is a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. If it wasn't a yihi chip and it used the chdna I wouldn't want it. I am going to wait maybe a month and see all the kinks are fixed with it then I will pull the trigger on this mod with the 18650 tube.

Pulled the trigger on one of these with the 18650 tube. Figure if I don't like it I can always PIF on. Somebody has to be the guiena pig. :)

The pictures of the one Focalecig is selling clearly show the A-mods sticker which is the Wotofo version. It has the Yihi SXA300. It also has copper contacts throughout. Looks like for once I might have accidentally ordered the right one first time. The Wotofo version looks to be the better of the versions I have seen out there, but until people start getting them in their hands you never know.

The only downside for the Wotofo is the stepping around the curve near the atty connection, looks like remnants from the the computer model.
The FT version is all steel (like the authentic?) did you see how much it weighs without a battery?

231 grams - so it's really bloody heavy.

I couldn't resist and had to order one. It's as close as I'll ever come to Zen's beautiful design. My Cana mod has worked out very well, hoping this will be as good. That said, I placed my order with A-Mod eleven days ago and no word whatsoever from them one way or the other. I've used Fasttech and they have a semblance of understanding customer relations, is A-Mod not exactly up to speed?

Loo
Look

Definitely looks interesting. I think the description is a little mixed up. It lists it as taking a 18650 but only comes with one tube. If the actual device is the length of a 18650, it'll be a nice addition to my zna lite :). I sure hope the picture of the spring is not what it would come with though

In my limited understanding.........

Regulated mod have built in protection circuits to protect us/you from shorts and other nasty conditions that may or may not arise while using them.

And said circuits just don't like sub ohm coils.

Some of the new designs tolerate or allow sub ohm coils better than others as a response to the consumers wanting the sub ohm option.

Mechanical mods by nature don't give a shit what you do with them and are perfectly happy to blow up in your face if you don't Perfectly Know your MOD, YOUR COIL, YOUR BATTERY and the CONDITION of YOUR BATTERY at all times.

I have no idea what's going on with this order. I've used the "contact" function multiple times on their website, I've emailed them, nothing, zero responses. Paying when I ordered was odd at best. I can find no record of a payment being made yet checking "My Account" shows the order is "processing". If I could count on successfully cancelling this order, I would. There are too many other sources of ZNA clones now available.

A-mod had been a little behind in production, and it didn't help that it appears that Cloupor is sourcing the body for their new ZNA 50 from A-mod .. Anyhoo, here is some A-mod/Wotofo ZNA porn, I will be posting my review on Monday.

I disagree completely with "They do not like sub-ohm coils" now if you are speaking about the older generation of Devices than yes of course
the DNA 30 is pretty crummy for sub-ohms I agree with that In fact I only use it for .8 ohms and thats it... the CHDNA cannot even fire a .5 ohm coil very well but the newer generation I will only speak on what I currently have the IPV v2 is happy all day long to vape at .3 ohms it does get hot though something.. I agree that while I do use mmechanicalI never build under .3 ohms I have seen horrid things... :)
