PG in this instance. Usually you want the dominant of PG or VG to carry your nicotine just to keep mixing simpler and not having to worry about exceeding your desired outcome. Additionally, PG is easier to work with in syringes if you are mixing that way.

So are you not trying to reach a 70pg/30vg ratio? Confused. What nic strength are you planning to buy also? 100mg or something lower?

Generally speaking, if you use 100mg PG nic and aren't allergic to PG, you can do pretty much whatever you want with the juice while maintaining your ratios and working with PG is easier than VG as it's not nearly as thick.

If you are attempting to make juices near to max VG, then definitely order your nic in VG. VG also offers the most versatility as virtually no one vapes 100% PG juice, so you can always add VG nic to reach desired ratios. This only applies if you are using 100mg.

If you are using anything less than 100mg nic, order it in whatever the predominant % of your base is.

The nicotine level is 36mg and diluted to 24. I just want to know if I'm using a higher level of VG should I have the nicotine added to the VG or pg

What Botboy is saying jsr is that if you are trying to achieve 70pg/30vg (which you originally stated was your goal), you should use PG based nic. As he pointed out, PG is much easier to work with. If you intend to "eventually" achieve 30pg/70vg, then you should use vg based nic. It just makes it easier to work with if your nic is in whatever base that you plan to use the most of. Now there are companies like My Freedom Smokes who offer 50pg/50vg nic mixes. Maybe while you are deciding your direction, that maybe the way to go.

If you are using 36mg nic and vaping 24mg, you won't really be able to make a 70PG juice.

If you buy your nic in PG, you will use 66% of the bottle as nic base (36mg vaping @ 24mg). Once you add your PG based flavors, you will be over 70%. If you buy it VG based you CAN reach a 70VG/30PG ratio but could never go less than 66% VG.

Buy a stronger nic base if you are looking to make 24mg.
