Hi guys I am new to mod vaping. I had a itech pen or w.e it's called and worked fine just didn't satisfie me. So I was told to buy the smoke alien 220w mod kit and I did, has the baby beast tank, and a baby t-8 coil. So my question is this what do I set this thing up at? I have no idea what I am doing here after getting this I realized I am way in over my head and need help! Found this form and have been looking threw the threads but can find what I am looking for. What is the coil stainless steal,nickle, and does it matter if I don't know, and how do I set this up? I truly do not know what the settings are for and what to put them on. Can someone please help me totally lost and need help. I know it's alot, but I hope someone will be kind enough to help me here and explain this to me. Seriously thank you very much for taking your time and helping me out.

Do you know about wattage and how to pick the right wattage? Do you know how to prime your coil and fill your tank? If not, we can certainly help you here!
Also, you can always go to your local vape shop and they would be able to help you the same. What do you want to know, specifically?

Wow, you went from a pen mod right into a 220w device? Let me guess the guys at a vape shop sold it to you and said it was just what you needed, yet they couldn't educate you on how to use it. 
Look at the coil itself and see what wattage they are good for, start below that wattage to break in the coil correctly, and make sure you prime the coil with juice first. Just because it goes 220W doesn't mean you or your coils will need that much, Make sure you read the manual on how to use the settings on the mod itself...as a beginner start low & slow , good luck

Good of you to make sure you know what you're doing before jumping blindly into it. That's the way to do it!
stainless, titanium, nickel stuff is for TC (temp control mode)..To get started use wattage or power mode.It's simple stuff once you know the basics. I've been vaping maybe 6-8 months (with an Alien 220w) and I still don't use TC or all the features. I prefer to keep it simple. Also I never gone over 60 watts for more than a puff or two just to turn it down in the end lol just stay in the range of your coils and you should be golden.
definitely watch a review or two on youtube and they will take you through the menus and operation.

And as a beginner, stay in wattage mode. Don't even play with temp control settings. There are apps that can tell you what wattage to use if you dial in your resistance(ohms) and voltage. You can also Google image some charts to help you get and idea on all that stuff.
