As @franciscan mentioned "Leaving VU" For some reason an old member decided to announce that he was leaving because a hack second rate blogger made a blog post about the evils of advocacy groups.
Tom is just a hoot because he is a holier than thou prick. One of the first people I ran into after I joined and he didn't seem to like the fact that I would stoop down to his level and argue with him on the school ground and preferred to maintain my end of an intelligent debate.

I get it. I'm sure it feels weird to have some who you were close to suddenly gone and wonder why you aren't heartbroken.
The answer is that you moved on and you found someone else who is holding your heart in safekeeping. If something were to happen to her, then you would be truly heartbroken.

I don't think i would live 5 minutes without my wife, i truly believe she is my soulmate. I was told once that every person that comes into your life is in your life for a reason, some are only in your life for 5 minutes and some stay longer. I believe that to be true.

Some people are surprised that I have always had life insurance policies on my wife and kids. They are not surprised that I have one for myself, but the wife and kids seems to surprise them. I simply tell them that if anything every happened to them I wouldn't be able to work for a long time after and needed to make sure that everyone else in the family was taken care of while I took the time that I needed to recover.
