I'm sure the preset feature on this one will be a great addition for a lot of people. Everything seems to be going closer to the istick in terms of pricing, for people like me on a tight ass budget that's a good thing.

Moe....Why???????????? Why did you fuckin do this to me????

Because he can!

And now I am thinking about getting one once I see the dimensions.

If it is the same size as the Chana mod, most likely I will get one.

When the Mrs. isn't looking:rolleyes:

Written dimensions wherever you look seem to consistently say 90 mm height.

But in the video, it seems more like 88 based on this video (about 1 min. 25 seconds in):

Mine just arrived ...

1. Fits nicely in my hand, approx. 89 mm height

2. The included silicone sleeve is a nice touch and makes the device that much more comfortable to hold

3. EHPro Billow sits flush on top

4. Pic showing size comparison to Eleaf iStick (20w)

I imagine that the next IStick will be around 70 watts with removable battery and magnetic door. Eleaf has pretty much done it all already. They set the bar for quality and pricing which is why all these box mods are coming in at a much lower price point.

The silver one is the iStick

Ha! I leaned away from the monitor and noticed the color change. When I leaned in for close observation it looked white. You had me jealous for a moment. I was thinking (White IStick?) Perhaps an import from Russia:D Whew... wiping the forehead with a sigh of relief.

Ok, so far this is my only complaint: seems like Sigelei mis-programmed Ohm's law in the chip. Based on the strength of the vapes I'm getting, I'm pretty sure it's the watt reading that's incorrect (i.e., lower than it should be) ...
sig30m2.jpg
The watts should be 19.5 or 19.6, depending on how one chooses to round off the decimal point.

Yes.

And to me, the volt reading in the photo is correct based on the strength of vape I'm getting. I'm pretty sure the watt reading is off.

The istick sure did push the small mod movement didn't it. I heard that it seems to hit hotter than other mods set to the same settings.

Apparently it is.. Pop out the battery, hold the fire button, reinsert battery, and the board should say SX130. Saw it at ECF.. When mine shows up Monday its the first thing I'm gonna check. Kinda bummed if so cause I was hoping for a Sig chip that bucked but oh well..

I got one for a friend this week. Definitely a solid choice, even if i do personally view it a pass if you already own another 30w device like the clouper or istick.

101vape has black ones going for $39. shipped atm.

Depends on how you plan to use it. Of the three only the Sig (maybe the Istick, haven't seen any numbers on actual output yet) can buck down.

I am under the impression that like the SX130 in the IPV mini, it does not buck down. Siegeli has been insisting it a custom chip, and not simply a SX130. I have also heard it displays SX130, but I think it has a memory set the IPV mini does not have. So holding out hope that it might have been somehow tweaked. The answer for sure will be out when PBusardo benches in....unless some other review puts it on the scope?

I simply went by the reports that it will display SX-130 when a battery is inserted with the power switch engaged and YIHI's spec sheet on the 30W SX-130. I haven't been following the IPV Mini and missed that it doesn't buck. With 3.0v as the minimum output I thought the 130 pretty much had to.

The Mini does have the SX130, got mine yesterday.. It does buck but only in PWM mode. DC-DC is a little harsh and puts out higher voltage at the same wattage..

According to the specs the SX130 bucks down to 3 volts and has a minimum resistance of 0.5 ohms. The Sigelei goes down to 0.3 ohms so unless that is a typo it sounds like a different chip. 101Vapes has it for $37. Paid $50 for my IPV Mini last week. Wondering if I should have waited.

It would be PWM like a Zmax down at those levels. Jab of 7 watts. Then 3.3, than back and again. On off on off, PWM. Was hoping for a clean signal, like a SVD2.0

Check out Busardo's vid on that. The voltage on the istick 20w is tuned to mean instead of RMS (which is the industry standard today). He explains the whole thing.

I don't know, it hits pretty smooth like my MVP on steroids.. Haven't gone under 11w yet though.. 11w on this is more powerful than my Vamo v7 at 13-15..

I saw the video when the istick was the hot topic.

I was saying I heard that the 30w Sig seems like it hits hotter then other mods set to the same setting.

i have a couple box mods, i always remove the batts to put in a charger. is charging via usb the same quality charge youd get from a real charger? or does it even matter?

When it comes to stand alone chargers... or "real" chargers as you put it... not all of them are created equal with many pretty crappy ones out there among the good quality ones...

Many of the built in USB type chargers are then going to be much the same... some will be of poor quality while some are going to be of better quality. In short, you can't answer the question generically and assume it applies to every one out there.

The built in USB chargers are usually just capable of putting out only 500mah charges a handful can go higher. On standalone chargers... their output also varies but many of the better quality ones will allow several different charge rates so you can select which is best for the specific battery you are charging. The 500mah rate is the "safe" charge rate that most batteries can handle... higher mah rates require the user know the battery can handle them before you could consider them also to be safe.

The LUC is a pretty good charger.. Its the one I use. You are good with the .5amp and 1amp charge rates for sure on those batts. I do not know if they will do 2amps as I havent looked at the spec sheet in a long time, and, I dont personally like to charge over 1amp anyways.. and mostly do .5amp.

What Midnite said .... :D

But more info..... an internet search on the exact make model ( ie purple one doesn't do it... lol ) can give you better info about the batteries capabilities.

Battery charge and discharge rates are often given in a C rating when they aren't listed in their amp rating directly. The C rating ( and there are two, one for charging and one for discharging ) is directly related to the batteries MAH capacity.... Take a 2500mah battery... a 1C rating would equal 2.5a .. a 0.5C rating would be 1.25a ... so 1000mah = 1a. Most batteries can be charged safely at 0.5C and a lot can safely be charged at 1C. Despite knowing that... I still try to verify the recommended charge rating when possible... If I can't find that info out... I'll only charge at 500mah just to play it safe. The two C ratings are not relative to each other, said another way... just because a battery has a high discharge rating doesn't also mean it has a high charge rating... so again, verify the info and if you can't... play it safe and charge at the lower MAH rate.
