I figured it was better than doing nothing.... They would walk the path on their way back inside. It did help out with their paws from totally freezing and not wanting to walk inside.

This is what it looked like at our home

It was our own stupidity for not getting the flue cleaned out.
Around 2:15am Thursday morning, I just put two more pieces of wood on the fire, heard a pop, looked up and the flue was on fire. Immediately, I closed down the damper and air flow, woke up my Guy and called emergencies. By the time I explained to the dispatcher how to find our home, the fire was out.
Probably didn't need to call them, but glad I did. They checked with their equipment to see the temps inside our ceiling and all was good. The triple wall flue did its job :) :bliss:
They said they had a LOT of calls that night and some did not have a happy ending :sad: . So HAPPY ours did have a happy ending :bliss:

Wow- I am so glad that the chimney fire wasn't more serious for you and you and your house are OK! Scary all the same, quick actions saved the day! The doggies look so cute going around the diamond, glad it helps their paws. Hopefully this winter weather ends soon-

2 weeks of the worst of everything yes all the things including rot-gut and swamp-ass.

Wow you are so lucky, Glad your whole house didn't burn down. Sure does put a scare in one though. Glad you were awake and knew what to do. Stay safe my friend. :hug:

I've had worse colds. Omicron is God's gift to get us out of this. It's what you would expect from limited function live virus vaxs. Wife and I now have natural immunity, no vax needed. I wouldn't have a problem going to MN tomorrow except work said no. Out of action for 10 days from date of test. Fine with me, I'm using the covid time code to charge to and get paid to rest.
